Russia could launch a 'full scale' invasion that would see troops overrun Ukraine in hours, a senior security official warned today.
The secretary of Ukraine's National Security and National Defence Committee Andriy Parubiy claimed Russia has 80,000 troops, 280 tanks and 170 aircraft massed on the border ready to invade.
'They are adding to this military potential,' he said. 'We have a critical situation on the entire southeastern border. The Russian army is only two to three hours from Kiev.'
Ukraine's defences would be incapable in the face of a Russian invasion, he said.

Might be time for Ukraine’s Leaders to consider becoming “The Switzerland of the Eastern Front.”

Holding that many assets active in place is very expensive. Putin probably has a timetable.

Obama likes to hear himself talk, but the world’s leaders know it all means NOTHING.
This like a game of Chess to Putin, who while Obama was studying “Rules for Radicals”, was studying Machiavelli’s “The Prince”.
Every time Obama tries to make a counter move, Putin’s move is to one-up.

And if Putin decides to take over half of Ukraine, who is going to stop him?
He could care less about so-called international opinion. All he needs to know is if he can get away it with it at minimal cost.
Its all that’s restraining him from going ahead.

And some of the tanks and planes actually will start up.
However, they have the troops...
To: Strategy
Well it’s a good thing that Obama helped to make Ukraine safer by telling them they don’t need any defenses.

Ukraine is a country in name only. ALL OF IT is a de facto province of the new Russian Empire. Any former part of the Soviet Union or of the original Russian Empire must prepare itself. Like Hitler, Tsar Vladimir will continue to conquer as long as nobody is able to stop him.

The Ukraine starts a civil war and now they're trying to goad us into covering their butt.
Crimea should never have been annexed.
Sorry, there's a reality to all this. This is no longer the age of Stalin.
I have letters to my grandfather from his brother that bear a stamp of Stalin.

Will full scale invasion make constitutionalists ask Obama for a constitutional formal Congressional declaration of war to use military force? Of just ignore the Constitution?

He ignored the Constitution in not seeking Congressional authorization and the UN on Libya. Putin can cite he got his Parliament’s authorization to use force.
Obama is not coming into the court with clean hands here.
