Mitch McConnell, the current minority leader in the Senate and GOP counterpart to Majority Leader Dingy Harry Reid, and senior senator from Kentucky, must be the stupidest politician in Washington D.C. right now. Facing a challenge in his own primary from TEA party oriented candidate Matt Bevin for being a RINO, McConnell would be wise to do anything but provoke an escalation of the political battle between RINOs like him and the more conservative TEA party supported candidates challenging them. McConnell the other day made a comment basically saying that all the RINOs like him that are being challenged in primaries by conservatives will defeat their more conservative challengers. What a stupid commment.
I suspect many conservatives around the country had made the defeat of RINO Lindsey Graham in South Carolina the highest priority for 2014. But I can imagine tens of thousands of TEA party and conservative activists reacting to McConnell's stupidity by writing checks to the campaign committee for Matt Bevin after having what the soon-to-be-retired senator from Kentucky said the other day.
Polls are showing that McConnell is in trouble against the expected Democrat nominee Alison Lundergran Grimes, and he's slipping in the polls for his primary battle against Matt Bevin. Either way, McConnell is finished, in the primary or in November. He's voted the RINO left-of-center line in Washington D.C. way too many times, and voters who elect Republicans are expecting them to go to Washington and represent our insterests and not those of the special interests and the ruling class of Washington D.C.
McConnell hasn't done that in his too many years in Washington, and now it's time for him retire or be retired. The voters in Kentucky will make sure it happens one way or the other.

Although there are plenty of reasons to retire this corrupted RINO POS, if for no other reason, throw him out and anyone else in the Congress for just being there too long. Because elections are also corrupted, citizens should be demanding term limits and the PRHIBITION of ALL ex-congress critters from becoming lobbyists.
I understand your sentiments, but that mindset is what gave us dim majorities in 06 and 08.
Personally, I think it is an exercise in futility anyway. I bought my small farm in KY two weeks before the 2008 election as a bug out location and I thought McCain was gonna win.
Oh good Lord. These kinds of posts aren't even worth a response anymore.
OK; who do you want me to wave to?
ELECT THE BITCH!!!
I have no issue with primary challenges by sacrificial candates to keep the incumbents honest, Conservative and aware of who they work for.
I also have no problem with primary challenges against underperforming incumbents in areas where the seat is going to be retained by a Republican regardless.
What I don’t support are pyrric victory primary challenges where an underperforming but electable incumbent gets tossed by someone who can’t win in the general.
Like Mourdock beating Lugar last cycle. Hard not to see that as a waste that ended up making Conservatives feel good in the short term, but hurt us in the long term.
I’m supportive of the Lindsay Graham challenge in SC. And was supportive of the McCain challenge in AZ. But increasingly wary of Bevins in KY. Too much is at stake for us to go the cut off our noses to spite our face route again ...
Those polls showing that a brain-dead Ashley Judd might have taken him out were no joke.
“His attack ads against Bevin will NEVER rise to those ugly levels against Grimes in the General.”
You mean just the way Romney went after his GOP rivals in the primary, then went to sleep when time came to contest FUBO. And now, it looks as though he’s looking for a threepeat. Cruz was right, we’ve had enough of “presidents” like Dole, McLame and Romney. It’s going to be “interesting” to see what “old fossil” the GOPE trots out in 2016. The Lord has largely taken care of all the old RATs in the Congress, time to start working on the RINO’s The only really old RAT left is Fineswine and she looks like death warmed over.
It appears that the Tea Party supports Bevin. If true I will send money to Bevin’s campaign.
McConnell took some pretty nasty swipes at Judd over her history of mental issues, and she decided to drop out.
If you read the local KY press from last year it’s apparant that Grimes was bullied into running. She wanted to be Gov, and the way was paved for her. She did not want to run against McConnell.
He may be a RINO a**, but McConnell has a history of also being an absolute ruthless b*st*rd in fighting to keep “his” seat. I see no logical reason why he wouldn’t be the same this time around.
Either way, Grimes goes to the Senate. Add in Michelle Nunn from Georgia and the GOP will be down two Senators right out of the starting gate.
McConnell....it’s time for him retire or be retired. The voters in Kentucky will make sure it happens one way or the other.

I wish I was that confident that it would happen. I’ll ride on your faith and do everything I can to help make it happen.
You live in Kentucky. What’s the pulse of the people there concerning this Election? Does Bevin have a good chance of winning or just 50/50?
And Romney was “electable”.
I’m going for the brass ring on this one. The only thing worse than a democrat is a career politician.
What difference does it make if he is the Majority leader. The first thing the SOB will do is caucus with the Democrats, allow them to run rough shot over the Senate.
He is more interested in Power versus Representing American Citizens.
AFAIK Bohner and McConnell could get beat, America would be better for it.
Atleast then hopefully someone would assume leadership for the right in the two chambers and actually Represent our Constitutional form of government.
Both Bohner and McConnell want Scamnasty. They Like NeroCare. They spend Like Drunken Sailors on Shore Leave. The feed off their own Power. Screw em both!
But the polls I’ve seen show Bevins beating the Democrat in the general election, while McConnell is a toss-up.
Further, the Republicans are going to re-take the Senate with or without Kentucky, so who wants McConnell to be majority leader?
If Bevins does not win the primary, vote third-party in the general.
I live in Kentucky as well and will be voting Bevin in the primary. However I can’t vote for that idiot Grimes, aside from being a democrat she is dumber than a pile of Man~O~Wars petrified manure.
If Snitch wins the primary he made it clear he has no interest in supporting or representing conservatives, only contempt. Fine with me, win without my vote Snitch.
I will be voting in local elections and any state level offices but Snitch and Little Bob Byrd in training-Hal Rogers will have to win without my vote and several more long time conservative family members votes.
I don’t just want McConnel to win without my vote. I want him to lose so bad that I would vote for any loony tune democrat against him. At lest the Dem’s would then own the lunacy that followed.
From my own private polling around here, I would say that McConnell is in serious trouble. It’s not very blatant, people here aren’t that way. It’s the look in the eye, the gritted teeth that says it all.
Chinless and the rest of the RINOs are hoping to reap what they sowed in the 2012 election, where TEA Party candidates lost because they were stiff-armed by the national Party. They are now saying, “See? If you run TEA Party candidates, they lose!” What they don’t want people to know is those candidates lost because they were sabotaged by the national Party’s election committees, not because they were “bad” candidates.
It’s like dropping a cinder block on a car from an overpass, and when the car crashes and burns, claiming it’s because they weren’t driving the car.
