He hasn't held office. Jolly is against Obamacare and says he has goals of lowering taxes and cutting spending. He believes Israel is one of the premier allies of the United States and has a goal of not cutting the United States commitment to the military and to its allies. He is pro-life, says that he "support[s] the constitutional right to keep and bear arms," and opposes amnesty for illegal immigrants. Where's the RINO?
bump (2nd)! People are too quick to call RINO these days (without even any proof).
ok. “RINO-in-waiting” is probably more apt.
Based upon his c.v,. I don’t see him having the cajones to buck leadership.
Opposing amnesty is extremely important, let’s see if he sticks with that.
Mr. Jolly was an aide to the former congressman, Bill Young.
Jolly was also a lobbyist.
He won a three way race in the primary against two candidates. One, a woman with Chamber of Commerce ties, the other a retired military officer backed by Colonel Allen West.
The West backed candidate was the more conservative, Tea Party candidate.
Jolly says he’s against Obamacare, John Boehner says so, too. We all know that isn’t true because he opposed Ted Cruz. Jolly campaigned under the GOPe’s “repeal and replace” banner, not the “get rid of it completely” banner.
Jolly opposes “amnesty” but what will he support in the end is my question. “Guest Worker” status????? We shall see....
Jolly called himself a “Bill Young conservative” in his ads.
The “Washington Post” characterized Jolly’s former boss and the former congressman for the district as “Young, a moderate known for steering federal dollars to the district”.....
