All my kids went to Christian schools, BTW.
The party is dead. It will be Dem lite.
Poll results are employed in accordance with the unspoken motives that triggered the exercise in the first place:
Namely, to confer moral authority for their usage as a legitimate tool of cultural intimidation against those whom the results have shown to be one’s adversaries.
Ron and Rand Paul supporters.
I think a direct line of causation can be drawn between this poll and why Rand Paul did so well in the CPAC Poll.
I liked Bob Hope’s response when homosexuality was being accepted in Hollywood, “ I’m leaving when they make it compulsory”. He of course left too soon for that...by a few years.
I don’t believe 18-29 year-olds have enough life experience to answer the question. I know I was much more liberal about things in general, than I am now.
Hot Air has the hots for the homoification of America. They daily post pro-homo polls.
Much as I hate to say it, I think homosexual marriage shouldn't even be part of the platform, because at this point, it's an issue that's being fought at the state level, so candidates for national elections shouldn't even bring it up. If they're asked, they can state their own personal opinion, but mention that Congress won't likely even be handling the matter.
I used to support gay marriage.
Now I don’t
I think it is quite possible that these young people will change their minds.
It is also true that the current entry of young people to the Republican party is driven by libertarians.
I don’t like that very much and I do think there is a real question of loyalty.
We need to be explaining that gay marriage is not diverse.
We need to be “for diversity in marriage.”
We also should exploit unseen ideological divisions in the gay community.
Gay males dominate the discussion by saying homosexuality is not a choice.
That actually offends many in the lesbian community who view their choice to reject men meaningful. The masculinist spin on gay rights is homophobic against political lesbians.
Without these kinds of arguments on the offense, it is hard to make back ground.
(And they're loaded and use great caterers).
When we decided that it was okay for people to “marry” three, four and five times, there was no moral authority left to oppose any OTHER redefinition of marriage.
Same sex marriage isn’t a marriage at all. But neither is divorcing your wife because you’re “unfulfilled” and “marrying” someone else.
And entertainers stage sham marriages that last for a few days or weeks. Conservatives do nothing to change the laws that allow THAT.
How can anybody take us seriously as conservatives when we raise an outcry about the sanctity of marriage being harmed by homosexuals? We’ve ignored its continuous desecration by heterosexuals for decades now.
The same kind of selfishness leads to both sins.
Romans 1: 18-32. Public ‘schools’, the media, and the churches are ALL complicit.
“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14”For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are FEW who find it. Matthew 7: 13-14
Because they don’t want to be called homophobes and bullied by gay mafia. They’re cowards who can’t stand up for what they really believe.
