“I personally think the remnants of that plane is at the bottom of the ocean.”

But the lack of a debris field is puzzling. There should be luggage, clothing, insulation, shoes, maybe even the life rafts or emergency slides and bodies floating around somewhere.

What if it went straight in? Not sure there would be much left.

Yes it is puzzling. Maybe the debris is there and hasn’t been spotted yet. It’s a huge ocean. Or maybe the explosion was so great there wasn’t much left or just enough for the whole plane to stay intact in air and break up upon intact and sink. Given they have no idea where it went down this leaves a large area to search. No idea but don’t think a conventional explosion can be ruled out simply because no one has spotted anthing.
