On Monday at The New York Meeting, Dr. Ben Carson said he does not believe in gun registration because America's massive debt could transform the nation into a third-world country in which martial law may be imposed.
Carson, the retired neurosurgeon who has been getting buzz in conservative circles, said that he changed his mind and was against gun registration because of the "sinister internal forces" that could surface in that scenario. He said he "used to think they needed to be registered, but if you register them they just come and find you and take your guns."
"If we were only concerned about external forces, then we would be okay," he said. "But there are some pretty sinister internal forces."

Doesn’t pass the smell test. He changed his mind because he’s thinking about running for office and his anti-gun views have to be whitewashed away.
I agree. His stance “changed” because it was a liability in conservative circles. Just recently he thought it was a good idea to restrict “assault weapons” in or near large cities.
Yep, another anti-gunner trying to slip under the radar.
Vocal and sinister. No dictator can feel secure with an armed opposition out there.
Given the rash of righteous defensive shootings in Detroit lately, restrictions on guns there is about the last thing anyone should consider.
Some of those shootings have even been with the scary black “assault” rifles.
I think he changed his mind because IRS thugs went after him personally.
If you let your enemy know about your weapons and ammunitions then you may as well surrender them to him.
Registration will ALWAYS result in confiscation; just ask any dictator.
The Lois Lerner liars and thugs went after Carson and Dinesh D’Souza after both men dared to speak out about Obama... here’s some of the other thousands of conservatives the IRS has gone after...(a partial list)
The IRS Conservative Targeting Scandal:
Hundreds of conservative groups were targeted (with hundreds of members.
At least 5 pro-Israel groups
Constitutional groups
Groups that criticized Obama administration
At least two pro-life groups
An 83 year-old Nazi concentration camp survivor
A 180 year-old Baptist paper
A Texas voting-rights group
A Hollywood conservative group was targeted and harassed
Conservative activists and businesses
At least one conservative Hispanic group
IRS continued to target groups even after the scandal was exposed
And
100% of the 501(c)(4) Groups Audited by IRS Were Conservative
There is NO EVIDENCE that a single liberal group went through the same scrutiny as conservative groups.
What the hell is wrong with this country to put up with this?

Dr. Carson is falling into the “Regulations are more powerful than Laws Trap” that our Communal RINOs and Democrats use to bypass the rule of Law and Order in our Lawless Society.
” - - - He said his point in saying that was to address situations—like in Detroit—where people with AK-47s are mowing people down. - - - “
The Law applies to everyone and exists to punish the perps. who break the Law.
Regulations exist so that a bad situation “will never happen again.”
The Law relies on Law Enforcement, punishment and order.
Regulations rely on Obama’s “Hope and Change” in order to bypass the Law.
Make a choice Dr. Carson: Law or Regulations, because the two are mutually exclusive.
I agree. Just another Colin Powell style RINO. Bill Kristol, Karl Rove and Bill O'Reilly will love him.
I'll pass, thanks.
Why is Brietbart shilling for him?
If his VIP ‘target of Hussein’ status doesn’t convince Carson that gov’t can turn tyrannical, nothing will.
It’s very possible his gun views have ‘evolved.’
Nothing wins hearts and minds like a gay moslem commie with zero ID using public and secret US government agencies to destroy your life.
I am inclined to give Dr. Carson the benefit of the doubt. I get the sense he is a man who had not given a whole lot of thought to gun rights issues and the implications of gun control during his career as a surgeon and author.
I think (hope anyway) that he made his prior statements out of ignorance and has now become more informed and enlightened.
