Malaysia's military believes a jetliner missing for almost four days turned and flew hundreds of kilometers to the west after it last made contact with civilian air traffic control off the country's east coast, a senior officer told Reuters on Tuesday. --SNIP--
Malaysian authorities have previously said flight MH370 disappeared about an hour after it took off from Kuala Lumpur for the Chinese capital Beijing.
"It changed course after Kota Bharu and took a lower altitude. It made it into the Malacca Strait," the senior military officer, who has been briefed on investigations, told Reuters.

And you have to subtract the original flight plan and the turn around.
...Plus, knew how to fly & navigate the plane.
Or, threatened the Pilots to fly it where they wanted. No storming the cockpit, either.
Sunday night there was mention made or searching in the Malacca Strait but no explanation why. I’m sure that piece of “news” was removed quickly.
I wouldn’t know a nautical mile if it bit me in the ___.
And, I’m a landlubber. Can’t imagine why a nautical mile should be any different or vice versa. :>)
It’s looking like it was hijacked. Now did it crash, or did it land in some obscure place?
Anything is possible. Well, that is what the ole school teachings say till proved anything is not possible.
If it landed somewhere they planned for it to land, why and what can those Freescale employees do for the hijackers?
.
And Judge Jeanine has been quite insistent on a grid-down for a month now.
Turning it off doesn't make its radar track disappear.
Stealth?!? Am guessing.
If you are outside radar range...
or electronic signal absorption?
I understand...but now here we are with the search on BOTH sides of Malaysia. The transponder stopped on the east side...and now the military thinks their radar tracked a large plane go across the entire country, to the west side...but they don’t know for sure, since radar can’t ID the plane like a transponder.
So, in this modern day, a plane is lost an hour after taking off from a major urban area...and the search area is 800 miles wide. Crazy.
Think they intercepted the plan?
It’s a great thought! And it looks like they could be a place the plane would definitely make it to as well....a lot of islands there.
The Seychelles I mean...
So now two Iranians just seeking political asylum in Germany - by way of Beijing - have the chokepoints of the US power grid? Like, which ones to shoot apart and sever fiber optic that coincidentally happened in CA a year ago?
Do I have all this about right?
Friends and family don't believe they were using drugs, looks like Trident does employee drug testing. Described as an ongoing criminal investigation and an isolated incident.
Good find. Wonder if they were replaced on the ship and where it is now..because basically what this is is removing the security on the ship in the very area where perhaps the plane could have made it to..not sure what their job descriptions were other than security.
