Malaysia's military believes a jetliner missing for almost four days turned and flew hundreds of kilometers to the west after it last made contact with civilian air traffic control off the country's east coast, a senior officer told Reuters on Tuesday. --SNIP--
Malaysian authorities have previously said flight MH370 disappeared about an hour after it took off from Kuala Lumpur for the Chinese capital Beijing.
"It changed course after Kota Bharu and took a lower altitude. It made it into the Malacca Strait," the senior military officer, who has been briefed on investigations, told Reuters.

So another interesting 'coincidence'.
If the Malaysian military knew it had turned west, why are they concentrating the search in the Gulf of Thailand? They had reported several times in the media that they were also searching in the Adamanan(sp) Sea, but were not clear as to why. How strange this all is. Hijackers usually announce to the world that they’re hijacking. This makes me think in this scenario that it’s thieves making away with a highly sophisticated aircraft.
if is what is taking place would say is quite probable. Others involved.
"Freescale uses the plant, located in an industrial area of the Malaysian capital, to package and test chips after they are fabricated elsewhere."
"Another man, approached as he was leaving the factory, said he thought workers in the plant had been attending meetings related to the flight. The man, who appeared to be in his twenties, said he was a Freescale consultant, not a staff member, and did not provide his name."
"Several employees who were approached outside the facility as they walked through its dusty parking lot declined to answer questions, saying simply that they could not speak with the media."
"Farizal Yusoff, the security supervisor at Freescale, told The Wall Street Journal that members of the media were not allowed to enter the plant."
"A man who said he was the brother of a woman named Suhaili Mustafa, a listed passenger, posted a message on Freescales Facebook page Sunday to ask people to pray for her. He said she was a Purdue University graduate."
Freescale products are readily available, I could order them online from DigiKey and they’d be here tomorrow.
Do you think it has nothing to do with the employees then? Assuming it was hijacked.
This time I have a link no work or 404
Oh I found it by googling the name of the woman...
—If the Malaysian military knew it had turned west, why are they concentrating the search in the Gulf of Thailand?—
I’ve been asking that ad nauseum since I read the Malaysian military tracked the plane in the west an hour after it stopped transponding.
Could be someone just wanted to steal the plane, or someone wanted whatever those tech people had(maybe just their expertise).
But I can’t see a reason for the first, and it seems to me there would be easier ways to attain whatever would be gained from the second.
I can’t help but think there may be a second act to this story, IF the plane hasn’t crashed.
The best way to confuse the controllers in an area where there is no radar, is to make all the inflight reports when they expect them, even if in the blind. Because when you change course, you will naturally be out of radio range at some point from the stations you seek to confuse. But pilots being good guys will relay info for you. About 10 miles a minute at cruise speed, so casual delay in the controller reporting or caring can make you some miles.
Pretty much their entire product line, also you can request samples directly. They’re just another chip maker like TI and ST Micro. They’re woldwide, even have a distributor in Kazakhstan.
I think the employees are just unlucky.
You may very well be right that there might be a Part II to this (if it was stolen). It may come flying right back into our faces. Very concerning.
They’ve known this for days and the authorities are hiding the truth while carrying on a search and rescue ruse. Something big is going on here ...
Still a *maybe* here, at this local. Suspicious ... very suspicious. Unusual to be expanding search area and nothing being found. If this was coordinated ... bad news.
Well obviously if your purpose is to change course in an unauthorized direction, then you have to stop reporting at some point. And if you continue to report after you change course, that would give away your new bearing. Would it not? So that kind of defeats the purpose. Seems to me right before the change off is a logical time to stop reporting, and change course if you want those precious few minutes to get as far away as possible.
I see the Malaysians passing off control of the plane to the Vietnamese, the Vietnamese accepting, but then sitting there waiting for the plane to signal for a few minutes thinking the Malaysians passed control too early(or something). And all the while the plane has now drastically changed course back to toward the Malaysian coast. But the Malaysians have already taken the flight off their board of responsibilities.
My hunch is this plane landed safely somewhere and the authorities know it.
