UNITED NATIONS (AP) -- The head of the organization that monitors the nuclear test ban treaty said Monday he has asked its experts to see if they detected an explosion at high altitude of the missing Malaysian Airlines plane.
Lassina Zerbo, executive director of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization told a news conference that the CTBTO uses "infrasound" - or infrasonic sensors - to monitor the earth mainly for atmospheric nuclear explosions....

Have they not considered this to be a mystery similar to the one below...

There is no doubt that one of the multiple systems used to monitor the globe saw something.
Besides, ask the NSA what they know, or they don't get next month's budget allocation.

It doesn’t mean they think it was exploded by a nuke.
It means they want to know if instruments that listen for explosions heard anything.

A plane disappears without a call from the pilots.
1. Terrorist bomb
2. Catastrophic disintegration of airplane
3. Pilot deliberately crashing plane

What about the EPIRB?? That kept beeping until they found Air Chance even in 15000 feet of the south Atlantic. This ocean depth is significantly less. No one has mentioned the locator beacon. Why?

Thought they’d fixed those nasty center fuel tank spontaneous explosions

Those are about the only options
I lean towards #2 If it were terrorist someone would have taken credit for it.
Those planes have a LOT of carbon fiber in them. When carbon fiber parts fail it is catastrophic and sudden.
My guess is some part was damaged while doing maintenance or make ready

If this plane was blown up by a bomb or a missile I am not so sure that that piece of information would be permitted out. If it were such a device then it would be consistent to translate that to something like “center fuel tank explosion.”
If we get assurances from every government agency that has anything to say about it that it was an isolated event then we know that it was Moslems doing what they like to do more than anything else and what they will continue to do so long as they have the resources to do it i.e. Western oil money.

Is that even possible? Where would one land a 777 with over 200 people?

I think it as already known what happened to that airplane. Now they have to come up with a story that doesn’t mention a forbidden topic.

Center fuel tank explosion is a good explanation seeing as there is a history of such explosions, well one attribution, anyway.

I think the plane was beamed up to the mother ship.
