RINO Speaker of the Texas House Joe Straus came to power in 2009 by forming a coalition of 65 Democrats and 11 moderate Republicans to oust the existing conservative speaker. Straus quickly consolidated his power. Despite Texas voters electing large conservative majorities in both houses from 2010, conservative legislation is being impeded or stopped by the decisions of the powerful liberal speaker. Conservatives have been unsuccessful in getting Straus ousted but his minions are bearing the brunt and are steadily being defeated.
In Texas, the battle is primarily between RINOs and Conservatives. Whoever wins in the primary wins in the general election.

This must be some other tea party, because I keep hearing about how the TEA Party is dead.

Unfortunately my guy Vickery was unable to beat Byron Cook who has been Straus’ lapdog.
He was Chair of the affairs committee and Straus made a deal with the dems that he wouldn’t let bills out that were pro-life, voter ID or illegals control. Byron Cook did a good job of it and that is why we got Wendy Davis fiasco.
We need to get rid of Straus!
