To: Alberta's Child

Well, I don’t know, they are saying that same airline had a plane crash during a highjacking some years ago.

I suppose if the pilots resist they can lose control and the plane can crash, although clearly that is not the intent of a highjacking.

A crash during a hijacking would certainly be a possibility, but I would think that such a scenario would involve something that was NOT a sudden loss of contact without any indication of trouble.

How's this for a wild, wacky theory /sarcasm off/ ...

Maybe the aircraft was shot down by a naval vessel conducting military exercises in the area? Where have we heard that before?
