Saturday European officials indicated two of the people on board were using passports that had been stolen in Thailand. On Sunday Malaysias transport minister, Hishammuddin Hussein, said Malaysian intelligence officials were also checking the identities of two other passengers, according to The Associated Press.
All the four names are with me and have been given to our intelligence agencies, Hishammuddin said, according to The AP. We do not want to target only the four; we are investigating the whole passenger manifest. We are looking at all possibilities.

Well, that pretty much sums it up. What are the odds that two people with stolen passports would be purchasing tickets together and NOT be up to no good.
Amish?
"On Sunday afternoon, a statement issued in the name of a previously unknown group claimed that the disappearance of the plane was a political act aimed at the Chinese and Malaysian governments and referred to last week's attack in a Chinese train station by alleged Uighur separatists. It stopped short of a claim of responsibility. Malaysian officials said that they were unaware of any claim of responsibility but would investigate all possibilities.
Clearly up to no good but unknown if the “no good” involved bringing down the the plane. a lot of other criminal activities could be involved
Ah, thank you! Well, again you do get what I call piggy-backers on these things too.
I still don’t understand about that train station attack, it seems that none of the perpetrators were captured. How can that be? Most train stations I’ve been in have a strong police presence and that’s before 9/11.
And what about that Kenyan mall attack, I don’t remember hearing what happened to those that pulled it off.
It could be me not paying attention, but I do come here pretty much at least once a day, and see the silly MSN homepage.
With a name like that as your Civil Aviation director...
- If Whitey Bulger could change his ID and have multiple IDs that passed at airports, banks, etc. for decades it is obvious that there are many with aliases and IDs all over the USA and the world.
- The 911 skyjackers got IDs from a Mexican I believe.
- Muzzie terrorists are all over the world in various races and nationality.
- Go play golf like Obama does - it’s just a few more bumps in the road - and what difference does it make anyhow?
If so, yea, could have been an inside job.........
and what would your theory be?
Possible?
I noticed that detail in a BBC report. It is very strange - there may be an innocent explanation, but I want to hear it. Who are these 5?
True that.
Not long after the PanAm 103 attack, I was flying out of LAX and there were constant announcements advising passengers to "keep your hand luggage with you at all times".
Decided to go to the duty-free shop. It was packed and the "affirmative action" girl checking passports was telling folks to leave their luggage in the space behind her.
Amazingly there were about 20 bags there.
just read a news report saying a relative of one of the missing passengers rang his brother’s cell phone and that the call went through and the phone rang although nobody picked up. A water logged cell phone would not do this ask me how I know:)
As computerized as most things are you would think if the number from a stolen passport is entered for any reason- especially to buy airline tickets it would trigger a flag- to be rejected or checked further...
Vietnamese search and rescue plane has spotted what appears to be debris from an aircraft. Door and portion of tail. About 50 miles SSW of Tho Chu island.
You would think a Russian warning to Boston DH”S”
and DO”J” that the Boston Marathon is about to be
bombed by specific terrorists would have stopped SOMETHING!!!
But it did not. They were let in to return to the USA
without passports.
Since no one cares, and no one was arrested, it
explains everything before and since.
Chinese police shot and killed all of the attackers.
re: “Who are the 5?”
Fox News just reported that the 5 had checked in but did not board. (Previously I thught they had just bought tickets and did not show up — but they were at airport)
Oxygen deficiency incapacitated the crew?
Not sure how Malaysia does it but my experience in Saigon was that the United Airlines flight I was boarding’s final destination was USA (even though I’d be changing planes in Hong Kong) and because of that we had to remove shoes and go through the same procedures that are done in US airports.
There was another flight boarding whose final destination was not USA and those passengers did not have to remove shoes. Not sure if it was a domestic flight or an international non-US flight.
I also remember the announcement for my flight and they said that because the aircraft would be flying to the US that passengers would need to remove shoes...etc.
