Sarah Palin offered unsolicited advice Saturday to President Barack Obama on containing Russian aggression, saying "the only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke."
The Republican former vice presidential candidate used a predominantly crass tone throughout her appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference.
But she hit home by attacking what she called a feckless Obama foreign policy that she said has helped embolden Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Failing to show peace through strength has allowed some "very, very, very bad dudes (to) gain ground," said Palin, who remains a darling of the far-right.
Obama "would gut our arsenal while he allows others -- enemies -- to enrich theirs, she said.
"Mr. President, the only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke."
So of course the French don’t understand.
Not that she hasn’t already been beaten up many times, she is still cruisin’ for a brusin’.
Sara takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
She should move to Hawaii and do watch commercials?
As usual, MAD means that the countries don’t dare directly attack one another.
So war can go on via proxies who aren’t thus armed.
Even the French have a few nukes. They ought to understand that.
I will say one thing. I’m convinced Putin would be much more afraid of Palin than he is of Obama.
Sarah always has the right answer.
Me thinks she doesn’t care. They will beat her up anyway.
Kinda makes me wonder how things would have played out had the campaign signs read Palin/McCain instead of the other way around.
He would certainly have more respect for her than 0bama.
“crass” the hell you say
I thought she was great
Did she really say “feckless”? If so, I’m done with her. Neocon talking points are not what this country needs.
So only “Neocons” think 0bama’s foreign policy is inept and ineffective? And you don’t think it is?
"Feckless" is canned talking points lingo. Like "gravitas" was for the Dems back in whenever that was. I'd expect more from her.
Well that is some serious and deep reasoning there, the word “feckless” may be in her vocabulary.
It may even show up in the transcript of her speech.
Seriously, that seems pretty feckless of you, to me.
Well you can relax and go on loving Governor Palin, she didn’t use the word “feckless”.
Here is the transcript.
Yep, she knows this.
