In his weekly radio and Internet address, Obama says those actions show that change comes to Washington, not from it. …

If Obama wants to give America a raise he should cut the tax rates and cancel Obamacare to offset Government spending.

OK I’ll bite. If some businesses are already doing it (duh!) then why the need for a Federal action?

It also shows an appalling lack of economic knowledge. We can only “give America a raise” by increasing productivity. A best, increasing the minimum wage simply shifts income from one set of individuals to another, on average there is no increase. More likely, useful work will not be done at all and the net income of the national will decrease. Raising the minimum would certainly make the country poorer.

Why should anyone take Mr. Obama and his supporters seriously about anything?

Way to completely ignore what the business world is saying, Mr. President.

Yes, but it buys Democrat votes and power -- and that's all he and his Marxist cohort care about.

Where the F does he think this money is coming from? He sounds like some ditzy, big-spending girlfriend from Hell. Gimme gimme gimme. Let’s get this, let’s get that. Buying something at the mall every day. Then when you say the bank account is running dry and we can’t afford any more spending, she just looks at you with a strange look on her face, or starts screaming about what a tightwad you are.

Maybe business owners “volunteer” to pay employees more than the federal minimum wage because they are worth more than the minimum wage to those businesses.

If the invaders are kept out of the US and unnecessary green cards are not issued, supply and demand will cause wages to increase.

How come even our most conservative leaders aren't bringing this up? It's the perfect selling point to end the invasion of the US.

“President Barack Obama says he’s hearing from business owners across the country who are voluntarily paying their workers more than the federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour.”

So?

I’m sure some also have casual Friday and Funny Hat Tuesdays.

The point is that they are “voluntarily”, which means go find something more important to do (like the whole Russia thing) other then being a concern troll.

Won’t happen because they want to us at highest possible tax rate possible. Those vacation trips, golf clubs, and golf games are expensive....

This will remove less qualified workers from the work force and will prevent entry of such workers into the work force as they will not be worth $10/hour to their employer. And who are those least qualified workers? Obama’s homies. So this will hurt blacks most. But then again, the whole minimum wage thing was directed at eliminating blacks from the workforce.
