Not all Ocean Reef Club residents will welcome the president with open arms if he visits this weekend.

President Barack Obama is scheduled to be in Miami Friday to speak about education at Coral Reef High School. A Chicago Sun-Times blog, citing anonymous sources, said he then planned to join his family at the gated Ocean Reef Club for a weekend getaway.

On Tuesday, the Chicago Sun Times reported that the Obamas are headed to Ocean Reef for a weekend of “gab and golf.” Michael Sneed’s political gossip column claimed that the family was renting “five houses on the uber-politically conservative compound.” Sneed also stated that the guests would be arriving in five helicopters. TheBlaze cannot confirm that five helicopters will be used to bring the Obamas and their guests to Ocean Reef, but a helicopter arrival is likely as Air Force One is too large for the local airport and will probably have to land at Homestead Air Force Base (about 30 miles from Key Largo).

Lots and lots of CEOs at Ocean Reef. My son goes down their every year as his father-in-law owns 2 places. My son is blown away by the amount of wealth at this place. One major owner I know of is the guy who owns Stryker, a big Obama fan. Actually my son’s fil is also an Obama supporter.

I spent some formative years docking at Ocean Reef, taking a 24' open fishing boat, with twin 85 Evinrude outboards. Sometimes traveling around to cross Florida Bay to Flamingo (no easy trip) back down to Marathon, and up the oceanside back to OR.

The place was spankin' new, then, and the first place I ever saw forklift stacked boatdocks.

I doubt those barns survived Andrew, twelve years later, and I can only imagine what the place looks like today.

I doubted I wanted to stop by and ruin my memories of what I think I remember about the place now, more than 40 years later.

Now, after Zero has left his taint there, I know I won't want to go back.

Having to put up with this jackass everytime he visits Kailua (where I live part time) I promise you Obama ENJOYS making your lives a living hell.

What’ll really be fun are the 24 hour fighter jet flyovers. You’re gonna love that. Having the entire neighborhood blocked off with car searches and ID checks just to get in and out of your own street are real fun too. Just don’t get mad at those poor secret service guys. I don't know where some of this info comes from but memberships can run as high as 450,000. most of the members are solid pubbies and don't want zero there.ORC is the home of may billionaires they kicked many or the millionaires out years ago.
We made a delivery at the reef today and the traffic is murder.
The marina there is one of my customers.
