The "American Jews" need to get their act together. And while I appreciate the compliment to my wife, I must say that you have combined it with an insult to a variety of racial/ethnic minority groups. That insult is, in many respects, deserved.
>> You have to persuade and let them come to that realization on their own.
After more than a generation or two of self-destructive voting behavior, it's quite clear that they're NOT going to come to any worthwhile realization on their own. So "No", I don't have to pussyfoot around their sensibilities. Maybe if more people spoke like Rep. Bachman ... plainly ... then the perpetually offended would come to the realization that the world doesn't revolve around their sensibilities.
>> As an Israeli, I get asked about American politics from American Jews almost daily and certainly weekly.
That's just plain weird. Really. Bizarre beyond belief. The foreigner should be asking the natives about local politics ... not the other way around.
>> Its like saying something too strongly in Japan.
When in Rome ... (or Japan, or Israel, or wherever) ... This is America.
Oh, yes: We beat the Iroquois fair and square ... so it's not "Iroquois Territory". It's America. Just so's you know.
“Oh, yes: We beat the Iroquois fair and square ... so it’s not “Iroquois Territory”. It’s America. Just so’s you know.”
Yes, I know. That’s actually the point.
It’s a quote of Israeli Government Press Director Daniel Seamen mocking Hillary Clinton:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s press spokesman was asked whether the demand to halt all building (including schools, kindergartens and housing for young couples) in Judea and Samaria included all building in Jerusalem.
Ms. Clintons press spokesman was asked if President Obamas demand to halt expansion of West Bank Jewish communities included a demand to stop expansion of Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem.
The answer was affirmative. The U.S. State Department demands that Israel limit Jewish growth in these areas of Jerusalem, whose status remains to be determined in negotiations.
Israeli Government Press Director Daniel Seamen reacted to this Obama administration statement by saying: I have to admire the residents of Iroquois territory for assuming that they have a right to determine where Jews should live in Jerusalem.
