Approval ratings continue to drop for Democratic Sen. Kay Hagan, who is seeking re-election in the key battleground state of North Carolina, according to a new poll.
The result of the latest Elon University Poll shows that approval of Hagan, now at roughly 33 percent, has declined in four consecutive polls.
"The trend suggests the senator will face a tougher-than-expected re-election battle this November," said Dr. Jason Husser, assistant director of the Elon University Poll.
Further troubling for Hagan is the roughly equivalent disapproval of her job performance by women and men. Thirty-three percent of women and 34 percent of men surveyed approved of Hagan's work.
Hagan has been pummelled for months by negative advertising. Americans For Prosperity, funded in part by the Koch brothers, has alone spent more than $8 million so far on advertising attacking Hagan -- more than the group has funneled to any other race so far this election cycle.
North Carolina House Speaker Thom Tillis is widely considered to be the Republican best positioned to face Hagan. He has received implicit support from national Republicans but must win a competitive primary race to become the party's nominee.

"in part". Blah, blah blah.

A gross understatement if I ever read one. 33% approval is "dead woman walking" status.
Also funded, in part, by Blennos.
The Koch Brothers strike again. Whenever you go to a liberal blog or website more often than not the two entities that are mentioned the most are the Koch Brothers and FOX News. They drive the left nuts!
I’m still suprised that Hagan, and Pryor, decided to run..
Good news!
Do they EVER mention George Soros or ABCNNBCBS in that same vein?

.......................I didn’t think so....................
Tillis is an experienced politician who wont make the gaffe that gives away the senate seat.
He is also a good guy.
I am surprised the Dems allowed them to run.
“How low can she go?” http://youtu.be/tESmeZBXKb0
Of course not. They are part of the media approved ruling class. Soros is a "philanthropist" and the alphabet news are just neutral news sources, don't you know?
The Koch Brothers, OTOH, are evil capitalists. < / sarcasm >
But I do have to wonder why 1% more men than women approve of her performance. Maybe we need a breakdown of real men vs. girly men.
Naa, the Democrats would never do that. s/
Yeah, Professor Husser is really going out on a limb there to be the first to tell us something we don't already know.
There have been political ads for and against (mostly against) her on TV for a year or more.
I'll be glad to see her go. She's a real clod, never would have been elected in a year other than 2008, AND if Elizabeth Dole hadn't thrown the election.
And, her ads are bad enough so that Mrs WBill said "HEY! Wait a minute!!", and she never talks back to the TV. Something about Obamacare helping NC'ers keep their health insurance (Mrs WBill was booted out of hers, and the next best thing was 50% higher).
Buh-bye Kate. Don’t let the door hit you on the a@@ on the way out.
And here i was thinking I was the only one who journolisted Obama’s ABCNNBCBS that way! 8<)
(But I stick the BBC/PBS inside ABCNN
Then God Bless the Koch brothers.
Watch Hagan drop out of the race. The Socialist Dems are applying pressure to Hagan for this purpose.
