The liberal magazine The New Republic admitted that Mitt Romney was right about Russia after the Vladimir Putin-led nation invaded the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea late last week.
Russia is, without question, our number one geopolitical foe. They fight every cause for the worlds worst actors But when thesethese terrible actors pursue their course in the world and we go to the United Nations looking for ways to stop them, whenwhen Assad, for instance, is murdering his own people, we gowe go to the United Nations, and who is it that always stands up for the worlds worst actors? It is always Russia, typically with China alongside, Romney said in a 2012 interview during his presidential campaign.
Since the interview, Syrias Bashar Assad used chemical weapons against his own people and China has come out in agreement with Russias invasion of Crimea.
This all seems exactly right, Isaac Chotiner admitted Monday for The New Republic..
Romneys comments on Russia were roundly mocked in 2012 by a press that did not seem to like Romney very much compared to his Democratic opponent Barack Obama, who told Romney in a debate that the 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back. Because the Cold War has been over for 20 years.

Why Obama Got Russia Wrong (and Romney Got It Right) "...........Romney was right. Why was Obama wrong? Because, I think, he was willfully blurring the distinction between "geopolitical" and other sorts of threats. He was playing to the cheap seats. Voters do not fear Russia, or particularly care about its movements in its sad, cold sphere of influence. They do care a lot about terrorism. And Obama would use any chance he had, in 2012, to remind voters that he was president when Osama Bin Laden was killed.
So you see the politicsthey reveal Obama as the player of a cheap trick......."
Sarah Palin was right years before Milt.
Romney and Palin and anyone with a lick of sense knew this. They were right to speak up and now they are getting recognized for their honesty.
I didn’t know that so-called “Liberals” were capable of that much honesty.
I guess they’re trying to divert the #hit that’s heading for the fan.
Romney was right about Russia ,

So since Gov Palin was right about Russia..
No-original-thought Willard would have to be too...
SPOT ON!
Was it not Mitt’s establishment people who worked their spells to minimize Palin? It was only when it mattered to Mitt’s aspirations, or were those of his wife, that reality became important. If she had managed to carry McCain across the finish line a winner, Mitt would have lost his chance to even run.
When I see the clips of Obama being such a smart a$$, trying to be funny when he says “the 80’s called and they want their foreign policy back” it makes my blood boil.
I thought I couldn’t dislike this “man” more than I do, but I can! He’s such a smarmy, arrogant, condescending, treacherous human. I know we don’t like Mitt here, but I still wish he had won.
Gov. Palin recognized this and Romney's bastard surrogates attacked her and her children for it.
WHEN WILL THE APOLOGY FROM ROMNEY COME?
He should get down on his knees and apologize to America, too
for inflicting Obama TWICE after his gay marriage and RomneyCARE inflictions.
The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"Im told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palins people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romneys former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.
"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off .hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."
"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"
"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"
"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"
"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"
"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"
“now they are getting recognized for their honesty.”
This is true, but unfortunately liberals can’t generalize this rightness into a larger context. Therefore they will continue to vote liberal and only acknowledge after the fact, when it is too late, that the opposition was right yet again. The fact that Palin and Romney were proven correct and Obama wrong will not net even one additional vote from the liberals.
That used car pic of Romney always crack me up.
The liberals often roll out the opinions of squish Republicans when they agree with whatever position they’re taking at the moment. Hardly surprising.
Russia is not our friend. Sometimes they’re an annoyance. But they’re hardly a threat to the safety and well-being of this country. And they did both us and Israel a solid (albeit for their own reasons) by derailing Obama’s insane plan to set up an al-Qaeda controlled government in Syria.
If muttonhead Romney was on the same side as Obama on that issue, that speaks against him, not Russia.
“...but we still love Obama and he can do no wrong, republicans are racist and hatecwomen.”
