The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in Russia’s parliament, Mikhail Margelov, said on Monday that his country expects all economic sanctions against Iran to be removed immediately, Israeli daily Ma’ariv reported.
“There have been important developments. President Hassan Rouhani has openly declared that Iran has no intention to develop an atomic bomb,” Margelov said. ”Furthermore, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, has issued a decree that prohibits the building of a bomb, calling it ‘a sin.’ ”
As a result of these public statements, Marglov concluded, “The conditions have now been met to justify the full lifting of sanctions on Iran.”
According to the senior Russian official, the sanctions issue will be brought up during the next round of talks between the Islamic Republic and world powers, scheduled for March 17.
Iran and the P5+1 countries agreed to a landmark nuclear deal in November 2013 allowing Tehran access to frozen assets in exchange for limitations on the country’s nuclear program. As part of the agreement, the international community effectively accepted peaceful nuclear activity on the part of Tehran.
At the time of the agreement’s signing, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanayhu said it was a ”historic mistake” and that the world had become a more dangerous place as a result.

Not only that, Mr. Senior Russian Offical, sanctions will be lifted from Iran and placed upon Americans.
So we should still stick our noses into other nations? Seems to be screwing things up more than helping, Iraq, Libya, Egypt, Syria, and now Iran. The list grows. Bear in mind O`Bozo had his chance with real regime change there, somehow that popular uprising wasn`t worth the trouble.

If you believe Russia had any economic sanctions in place against Iran, there's a bridge in Brooklyn going cheap... I'm sure the Russians want to sell a truckload of weaponry to Iran, including nukes, but if Iran detonates a nuke on American soil, the return to sender address will point to Moscow. Does Russia really want to be irradiated for a few billion dollars? Besides, Iran's not exactly flush with foreign exchange, given its communist economic structure. (Yup - it's Islamist in the social realm, communist in the economic realm - the best of both worlds, from an asylum inmate's point of view).
So now Russia becomes the superpower, along with its pals in Iran, Syria, China, Cuba, Ecuador, Sudan, Venezuela, and the Norkers.All made possible by Obama’s retreats.
The same problem exists now as before, we irradiate Moscow, they irradiate us. They still have nukes too. But you forget the threat of Western sanctions will require retaliation. All the hawks calling for blood had better think twice before continuing this America is the policeman of the world crap. Keeping in mind part of the 17 trillion deficit can be directly billed to that idea, economic collapse is just as big, if not a bigger threat, as any war.
If they hand nukes over to Iran, they are nuking us by proxy. That would be like us handing nukes to Chechen terrorists. If that's what they end up doing, that's just Russians being Russians - burning down the world so they can realize their dream of universal empire under Russian rule. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

This is not “still” America as you might think. Wake up! We have a communist foreign tyrant dictator that changes laws, writes law, re-writes law, decides which laws to enforce and not to enforce. All of it in direct violation of our Constitution. Meanwhile, not a even a hint of a whimper from the Congress, Supreme Court or anyone else for that matter, outside of here on FR. Hopefully, America will wake up and dig her head out of her freebie ass before it’s totally too late.
BTW, Texans didn’t fight against a tyrant dictator named Santa Ana and die for freedom, to create the Republic of Texas; then join our great U. S. Republic to be ruled over by another tyrant communist dictator named obama. The Fire of Independence is once again brewing. It’s just a matter of time if things don’t change soon.
