Most Texans are not accustomed to freezing weather like they have up North. And, this winter has been a rough one all over the nation; even in Texas. Today, it's colder than a well digger's butt here in Southeast Texas (Wind chill has to be in the 20s). And, tomorrow is going to be worse. FORECAST FOR PRIMARY DAY: Rain with a "high" of 43 in Houston; wind chill in 30s, and a "high" of 30 (below the freezing mark and wind chill in mid 20s) for Dallas. WHY IS THIS BAD NEWS FOR CORNYN?
It's a known fact that low voter turnout always gives the advantage to the "crawl over glass", die-hard, Ultra-Conservatives. The uninformed voters, who only vote according to name recognition, will not bother getting out in horrible weather to vote. Those are the ones who would vote for Cornyn. Texas is already 48th in the nation in overall voter turnout. Under normal conditions, it is said that one vote in the Primary is equivalent to 10 votes in the General Election. I'm thinking tomorrow it will be equivalent to 20 votes.
GET OUT THERE AND VOTE TEXAS FREEPERS! And..... GO STOVALL!
I voted for that guy Chris that called Obama a socialist SOB
Texas, if you can beat Cornyn, I’m convinced we can take down the entire RINO herd. GO POACHERS!
Well, that’s fine. As long as you did not vote for Cornyn or Stockman. Chris Mapp is o.k. Linda Vega is o.k. Reid Reasor is o.k. Ken Cope is o.k. Glad you voted.
Single digit wind chills this AM in Hill Country. They’re warning of possible iced roads tomorrow AM but me and Mrs. Neck be out to vote, first, against Cornyn and, second, against Geo P if we have to ice skate to the polls.
id had been trying to make up my mind on which Cornyn alternative to vote for, then I heard that Chris Mapp had called Obama a Socialist SOB, and I went straight down and cast my vote for him :)
Made my job so easy.
Primary Cornyn bump!
Only problem is we’ve got to keep Stockman out of 2nd Place. If it comes down between him and Cornyn; turn out the lights; the party’s over.
Cold weather may keep Cornyn’s base home, hope so, he’s got to go.
My best wishes for Cornyn to come in under 50 percent.
The big names like Beck and Palin have been silent on this first round although I must admit that Beck had Cornyn on his show a few months back.
But I don’t think it was meant as an endorsement, just an open discussion of differences.
can’t wait to cast my PAPER BALLOT for Stovall tomorrow early.
Freezing rain in SE Texas tomorrow. Don’t let that stop you Texas FReepers.... get out there and vote. Let the lazy Cornyn voters stay home.
GO STOVALL!
