Keystone XL protesters arrested after strapping selves to White House fence

Police on Sunday arrested around 200 people who strapped themselves to the White House fence to protest the proposed Keystone XL oil pipeline.

The protesters were mostly college students who participated in a peaceful march that began at Georgetown University and ended outside the White House.

The marchers chanted “climate justice now” and carried signs such as “don’t tarnish the Earth” in their efforts to convince President Barack Obama to reject the pipeline. They say it will contribute to global warming.

Handcuff all of them to the fence and starve them to death.

WOW! All those kids walked all the way to Washington to make their voices heard. I mean, it wouldn’t make any sense to take advantage of the same energy source you’re protesting (fossil fuel). That might be viewed as hypocritical. Or maybe they thought that the fossil fuel that was used to create the tarps and cardboard signs and paint used on the signs etc. were a “necessary evil”, but everybody else’s use of the same energy source bespeaks a lack of respect for the environment. Yeh, that’s gotta be it...

My simple motto, although difficult at times, serves me well.

Idiots are best ignored.

That’s so 60ish. Kiddies, you’re living in the old analogue age of Bill and Hillary. Wake up! This is the new digital age of computers and the Internet (remember Al Gore invented it and Global Warming, then Global Climate Change). You don’t have to assemble at the college and walk to the Whitehouse in nasty weather. You can sit at your computer in your parents basement and stay warm (another by-product of that nasty petroleum) and protest all you want. Hell, you can even order a pizza while you protest. Maybe even work in that order for the latest designer clothes and matching shoes you just have to have (more nasty petroleum by-products). Just spam the Whitehouse and see if anybody there gives a damn.

For a bunch of college students, you guys act like liberal socialist activists or something from the past. After all, as somebody once said, “what difference does it make”. You’ve got food, designer clothes and shoes, a nice warm basement, medical insurance until you’re 26, an iphone or ipod, and your mom and dad are rich.

We, the working-class peons, professional grunts, and other slaves of the workforce want thank for your concerns. We would be protesting too, but we are very busy working multiple part-time jobs and barely surviving this great economic prosperity created by the Whitehouse.

Keep up the good work, a**holes. Hurry up and get that degree. We eagerly await your participation. We need new blood.

All defaulting on their student loan debt, undoubtedly... as being a barrista just doesn’t cut it.

Next big bailout will be student loan debt related.

“...around 200...”

With quite a bit of press / photographers, I see.

Where was the press at the “Million Bike Run”, last Tea Party march, last 2nd Amendment rally, etc.?

I only wish the administration would have left them strapped to the fence overnight. Then they could have enjoyed some of the "global warming" we've all been putting up with for the past 2 months or so.
