Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer vetoed a bill Wednesday that would have allowed businesses that asserted their religious beliefs the right to deny service to gay and lesbian customers.
Opinions have been sharply divided over the politically charged measure, with both sides ramping up pressure on Brewer after the state's Republican-led Legislature approved the bill last week.
Brewer said she made the decision she knew was right for Arizona.

Each to his own sin. I don’t favor one/others being intrusive in others lives as long as the others leave such alone to their own lives. I also believe that a government of humans has no place in taking ones freedom of God given historic rights and giving to another for some societal band aid.
[Immigration isnt a conservative issue or social issue.]

Immigration seems to be your big interest. Immigration and illegals ARE a big conservative issue.
Im saying Jan Brewer and Pete Wilson are not necessarily conservative because they did the right thing on immigration. It is not only Conservative Republican voters who support what they did. There are some Democrats and union workers who are against illegal immigration.
Let’s not argue in favor of democrats, they embrace everything we abhor. One point in their favor can never negate the rest of their evil values.
Jan Brewer is no more perfect than the other pubs. We are off topic as this thread pertained to a homosexual bill.
I am not so sure. Call the bluff. We are taking about a tiny very vocal minority here. They are screaming loud to scare the Right from acting. If we were to act, I am thinking that it is entirely possible that the whole thing would disappear into a puff of apathy. Maybe I am wrong.....
Jan Brewer is a one-legged clothespin, fully useless.
Don't look behind your back to see how many agree. There won't be many there. All AZ people really know to do is vote for McPain ad nauseum.
>>>How do you know if a customer is gay or not?
When they ask for two grooms on the wedding cake, it is a pretty reasonable conclusion to make.
>>> You should ban a person from your premises ...not [for] who they are internally
Strawman. There is no discussion whatsoever on restricting the movements of homosexuals in bakeries.
Your logic would force: Catholic hospitals to perform abortions, Christian adoption agencies to perform adoptions for homosexual couples, Churches who allow the boy scouts classroom use to also give classroom space to NAMBLA.
And what about reverse discrimination? Colleges discriminate all the time against white men, in the name of promoting diversity.
Pity.
Was the word "endorse" to hard for you? Your gain saying makes you either an ignoramus or an idiot on par with someone who doesn't understand liberty and security are mutually exclusive.
a ban against people who insist on continuing an act that God calls an abomination is good. Simple.
