Now that Karen Willmus can get health insurance through Obamacare, she plans to quit teaching 9th grade English at the end of the school year.
The 51-year-old found policies on the Colorado state exchange for about $300 a month. That's less than what she's paying now for employer-sponsored coverage and less than half what she paid on the individual market in 2007.

Karen is a very old looking 51.
She may be needing that health “insurance”.
Absolutely sick. This is a good thing?
Without question, this article was written by the White House.
Karen “the sponger” Wilmus is the natural and logical outcome of “positive rights.”
The comments at the article are quite good.
I’m calling B.S. on that.
I love the comments.
Links don’t work
Marissa Mayer, Yahoo CEO, is an Obama campaign “bundler”.
Keep sifting and sifting the details in a country of 300 million, and you will find a few individuals here or there who actually benefit from Obamacare.
Likely at a cost of $286,379 per head.
I just checked out the author on twitter. LOL.

Californians can sign up for #Obamacare plans thru @CoveredCA again. Tech problem fixed.
Connecticut residents can now enroll in #obamacare in Spanish. Check out http://accesshealthct.com . @AccessHealthCT
I’ll take her place in the classroom, no problem.
“Instead of eating bonbons on her couch, Willmus plans to start her own business with her teen daughter publishing materials for non-native English speakers and others looking to improve their literacy. She expects to work even more than she does now and hire two or three people.”
I’d like to ask her how much she expects to pay in salary. Nobody will take here jobs if she doesn’t pay them enough to cover their healthcare (subsidized or not), plus...
Good luck to the three “freed” from their jobs. I hope writing pamphlets for non-English speakers, tuning guitars and vacationing with the girlfriend are pursuits that bring in enough money to cover high deductibles, prescriptions and any increases in those “bargain” premiums that come down the line.
Shes only 51 ???
she looks older than me and Im 65...
So, they are saying it cost the children a good teacher?
There’s a new “I’m covered” Obamacare commercial running this week with some young chica loving her $76/month policy you and I are paying for.
Like I said, she may well need that “insurance”
