Don't worry, he'll be ramping up his Civilian National Security Forces as he decimates the Guard.

Hollow out the National Guard and the next Katrina will go REALLY WELL.
Then again, they’ll probably just blame Bush again.

We need to be very vocal about the tenth amendment, which should be a point of agreement between liberals and conservatives, at least at the state level.
Also, unlike what happens in other countries, when things go bad here it will not be a mad max situation. If the federal government collapses there is no reason the states can't continue to function. Obama seems to be considering the states to be rivals and is moving against their power. Education is not in the federal constitution, but it is in all of the state constitutions.
Obama has until November to front load the remaining illegal stuff he plans.

I dont mind telling you I was a bit troubled today by the tone of the president.
For the president of the United States to look Democrat and Republican governors in the eye and to say I do not trust you to make decisions in your state about issues of education, about transportation infrastructure
that is really troubling. And of course since the governors swore to protect and defend the Constitution, they reminded Obama that the states have never delegated to the feds, via the Constitution the specific powers to make educational decisions for the states, or to address intrastate transportation infrastructure ... right?
Regarding the nation's roads, note that with the exception of mail roads (Constitution's Clause 7 of Section 8 of Article I), the states have never delegated to the feds the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for interstate transportation structure.
In fact, not only did President Woodrow Wilson wrongly ingnore the required consent of the Constitution's Article V state majority before signing Congress's bill to establish the Federal Reserve, but he also ignored the Article V majority consent when he signed the bill which appropriated federal funds to improve the nation's intrastate roadways, again, Congress having constitutional autority only to spend tax dollars on postal roads.
Federal Aid Road Act of 1916

Can’t understand why the criticism of our Governor for saying he’s “troubled” by Obama’s words. Obama’s words are always troubling...
I think he’s done far more good for our state than any governor before him. He is a Christian and a gentleman.
To: Red Steel
This could very well be a prelude to Obama declaring martial law in order to install himself as a ruling dictator or some such position. If what Perry is reporting is indeed accurate I can only believe that by crippling the national guard states will be vulnerable to what the dictator wannabe may be up to. This is indeed troubling to hear.
We are indeed living in some troubling times.
