Where does the sewer go?
Water comes in, water goes out.

Modern composting toilets, especially those from the Nordic countries, are very safe and efficient at handling waste. Better than most municipal waste treatment plants, actually.

I’m thinking that’s what’s about. Many municipalities charge sewer rates based on water usage.

Where does the sewer go?

You know about private sewage disposal, right?

Water comes in, . . ."

Rain water coming in, filtered and chlorinated, using a cistern and hand pump. Typical suburban setup.

. . . water goes out.

Into septic tank, with outflow into leach field.
