What a “target rich” environment!

First, I am quite certain that the Connecticut State Police have fully automatic AR-15s with high capacity magazines. Why? I am equally certain that they justified this “assault” weapon based on the need not to be out gunned by criminals, even before the new law was enacted.

We also know that the best response time, nation wide, for 9-1-1 calls is more than 15 minutes.

The Detroit Chief of Police has repeatedly said, on national media, that the residents of Detroit had better arm themselves because he and his men can not protect them.

Finally, the Supreme Court said that the function of the police is protect society, not individual citizens.

All of the above point to the need for individual citizens of Connecticut to effectively arm themselves.

I have a suggestion, some state legistlaor needs to introduce the Citizens Protection Act of 2014. The bases of this act would make the Connecticut State Police, individually and collectively, financially responsible for every citizen who is injured by a criminal because he/she was unarmed.

If the state wants to take away our rights to self defense then they should pay every time they don’t effectively defend us. A ying and yang approach.

What! Hold legislators responsible for their irresponsible acts outside the ballot box? What a novel idea!
