Rush is right. It’s been the environmentalists; not nature who have messed up and caused the water crisis in CA. Central CA or the San Joaquin Valley was and is irrigated desert. When the environmentalists divert that water; that is what is causing the problem.

If they would give up the idea that protecting a stupid little minnow (snail darter) bait fish is more important than providing water to the agri businesses and residents, the drought would not be as big a problem as it is now.

I belonged to a country club in the DFW area for 25 years; where we often have water shortages. Members kicked in extra money to drill several wells on our property and the water was put in a small holding lake with a dam. That water was passed through a treatment process where fertilizers, etc., were added and then pumped through the golf course sprinkler system.

I don’t have a problem with the desert golf courses, as long as they are attracting so many tourists to the area, along with the professional golf tournaments (PGA, LPGA and Champions) which collectively attract hundreds of thousands of people in their galleries. The pro associations generate millions of dollars for charities each year.
