"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton |
|
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldnt make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan |
|
"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792 |
|
"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams |
|
"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams |

Paul has turned his back on those who helped elect him.
This article is so right about what Paul could do to change Washington.
Paul chose not to.

He strikes me as another false conservative, only taking actions that are guaranteed to fail, and even then only appearing to even take those actions.
But when it comes to actually making a difference, nothing.

As long as Rand Paul wants to run for POTUS more than he wants to serve his constituents he will remain under the thumb of the GOP Minority Leader.

Paul endorsing Chinless was a rookie mistake, and may very well haunt him. An unforced error.

Indeed.
They magically expect Rand to move the mountain by himself...
Geez. How about getting him a supporting cast. Not much happens without 50 plus votes.

Sen Ted Cruz hasn't/won't endorse anyone in the TX primaries. Rand didn't have to endorse Midge.

My concern is to deal first with the Traitors and Trojan Horses in our midst that are a complete block to any successful conservative governance.
We are dealing with the Primaries right now, right?
After the Primaries, my focus will be to give support to those CONSERVATIVE republicans that are running for office, and no-one else.
I believe in putting my own house in order, ridding ourselves of our internal enemies, before I try and take on the external enemy.
Matthew 7:3-4
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

The author is right.
There are some things about Rand Paul I like. However, I would not support him for president because of his support for amnesty.
But at the very least, he should withdraw his endorsement of McConnell.

According to Senator Ted Cruz, “Ken Paxton is a tireless conservative warrior.” Paxton is running for Texas Attorney General. As all of us know, we may not live in Texas, but Texas affects us and we all probably secretly or not so secretly want to live there.
Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott frequently describes his workday as, “I go into the office, I sue the federal government and I go home.” In fact, Abbott had filed 27 cases against President Obama’s administration as of the launch of his Gubernatorial bid last year. There can be no doubt as to the significant power that the Texas Attorney General wields against federal intrusion and lawlessness. Moreover, the future leadership of Texas is now being re-shaped as Governor Perry steps down. It’s imperative that Texas have strong conservative leadership – because as Texas goes, so goes America.
As a result, it is of interest to each of us who next holds that office. It’s a race Ken Paxton needs to win.

Yep - a wink is as good as a nod, in this case ;-)
Sen Cruz hasn’t done either...on the Senate race, as far as I know.
