So expensive. So unnecessary.

it is all relative... unnecessary for me, yes... but if i were attending a state dinner or the nominated for an Oscar, i would love a Carolina Herrera gown... now if i were up for a Grammy, i would wear something more hip... edgy... :)

i do live for more than what is necessary... do i need chubby pink and cream roses with pale pink tulips in a lovely vase? do i need neatly painted blush pink shiny toenails and silky soft feet? is it necessary to have a beautifully beaded throw at the foot of my bed? no, no and no... but they are all lovely to look at... and do i need this glass of a full-bodied cabernet? no--but it is lovely to taste...

Happy Thought by Robert Louis Stevenson: The world is so full of a number of things, I'm sure we should all be as happy as kings... :)

Sorry, we do not want our elected representatives to flaunt wealth like puffed faux royalty. They have enriched themselves with our money and shoving it our faces while we are hurting is immoral. Sorry to ruin your fantasy.
