i do live for more than what is necessary... do i need chubby pink and cream roses with pale pink tulips in a lovely vase? do i need neatly painted blush pink shiny toenails and silky soft feet? is it necessary to have a beautifully beaded throw at the foot of my bed? no, no and no... but they are all lovely to look at... and do i need this glass of a full-bodied cabernet? no--but it is lovely to taste...

Sorry, we do not want our elected representatives to flaunt wealth like puffed faux royalty. They have enriched themselves with our money and shoving it our faces while we are hurting is immoral. Sorry to ruin your fantasy.

yes--the Obamas do waste a lot of our money, and i do not approve... but i highly doubt Ms. Herrera received any money for that gown Michelle wore... but do tell, what fantasy of mine do you think you ruined? i shared no fantasy of mine with you...

i understand you might be utilitarian, and i believe there is a time and place for that... i am in favor of practicality... but i would not want a life of only what is necessary... sterile and bland... dreary... gives me visions of the society depicted in Fahrenheit 451... no thank you... i enjoy--appreciate beauty... and i take my lead from Jesus and His example in regards to the woman with the alabaster box...

TRUTH, GOODNESS, BEAUTY... words i live by... but i know it is not everybody's cup of tea...
