Eight Democratic senators swept into office partly on Barack Obama's 2008 coattails are facing their first reelection bid without the benefit of having the president on the ballot and at a time when his approval rating is near an all-time low.
The future of the Senate, and President Obama's ability to push through an agenda during his final two years in office, rests largely on their fate.
Democrats hold a five-seat Senate majority, when two independents aligned with the party are included. That means Republicans hoping to retake control of the upper chamber for the first time since 2007 need to pick up six seats this fall.

As far back as 2008, at the presidential debate in Nashville, Democrat candidate Obama advanced his signature healthcare plan---ultimately enacted, by an historic straight Democrat party-line vote, into the "Affordable Care Act"
QUOTING 2008 OBAMA: "No. 1, let me just repeat, if you’ve got a health care plan that you like, you can keep it. All I’m going to do is help you to lower the premiums on it. You’ll still have your choice of doctor.”
The party line repeated over and over ---- with the promise that every American family would be saving $2500.00 on healthcare costs.
Significantly, Obamba NEVER corrected lock-stepping Democrats, all reading from the same Democrat talking points, all of them repeating the same Democrat promises---over and over again.

al franklyapos? I cannot believe that they allowed him to steal an election and then they are going to re-seat that unfunny idiot back into the Senate.
But he controls the voting machines and everything points to the fact that he can manipulate them. Not good. If some people in the know would just grow some spines. But i guess they are aware they’d be assasinated under this current regime which is turning out to worse than any of the Omen movie were.
I can’t understand why Dems are avoiding ‘president’ Bari Shabazz, son of Malcolm X and FBI ‘Weatherman Group’ fugitive Elizabeth Ann Duke, who skipped bail after being charged in 1985 with the Brinks robbery in Nyack NY in which 3 law enforcement officers were shot dead.
Also, upon arrest, the mother of ‘president’ Bari Shabazz was caught with fake birth certificates, several SSN cards that weren’t hers, and equipment to manufacture forged ID.
She skipped bail in 1985 and became an FBI Most Wanted fugitive until after Barry was elected, when bizarrely, in 2009, Eric Holder’s DOJ dismissed all charges against the still-at-large Elizabeth Ann Duke.
