DETROIT, Feb 10 (Reuters) - General Motors Co's Mary Barra, the auto industry's first female chief executive officer, will be paid $14.4 million in cash and stock this year, 60 percent more than her predecessor, the automaker disclosed on Monday.
GM had previously said Barra, 52, would receive up to $4.4 million in cash and stock compensation this year, but that amount did not include what she would receive under the company's long-term compensation plan, which totals $10 million.

Man, she smashed through that ‘glass ceiling’ as if it were standing still.
In case some of you didn’t notice, Corvette Daytona Prototypes took first, second and third overall at the Daytona 24 Hours this year.
Wait... What’s all this stuff about “Corporate Greed”???
Over-earning CEO’s???
I thought these are the folks who are stealing from the little guys! The minorities!!!
Shouldn’t we burn her???
I’m so confused...
Don’t think that the former CEO did not have a long term comp plan as well. The 10 mil is not yearly salary, it is the kind of things execs get when they stick around for whatever period of time specified in the long term comp plan agreement. A one time payment when she leaves after having stayed long enough for the plan to kick in.
This article is intentionally misleading.
Hey did you hear that? Sounds like a glass ceiling shattering!
Sounds like Mary treated it more like an overhead mirror.
LOL! Better have been good for $15MM.
Actually, I think this is the rebuttal to an earlier story that drove the meme that she was being paid less than her male predecessor. I guess the facts are getting in the way, now.
GM will never see any more of my money.
Isn’t government motors doing poorly financially? This is sick that they pay her for incompetence.
It’s not “corporate greed” when women or minorities do it.
They were flush in tax dollars.
Wait!
I thought Obama told us women only make 77% of what men make.
Everything Obama and Dems say is a lie.
Everything.
