What If Hillary Clinton Doesn't Run?
NPR ^ | February 07, 2014 | Frank James

The groundwork being laid for a Hillary Clinton presidential run in 2016 overlooks a single, almost unthinkable scenario: What if she doesn't run?

After all, while that might sound like heresy to the various Democratic groups now raising money, locking down political talent and generally acting as a campaign-in-waiting on her behalf, it's not certain she will run.

A year can be a long time in politics. By the time Clinton would have to make her intentions known late this year or early next, she may decide to go from "inevitable" to "never mind" for personal reasons, despite the immense pressures to run.

A "no" from Clinton would leave a vacuum that would be hard to fill.

"I think the first thing is, if she decides not to run, there'll be a whole bunch of people who will be unemployed," said Iowa Democratic Party chairman Scott Brennan, who attended a recent Ready for Hillary event in Des Moines organized by some of those very same people.

“How much film do we have of her poor mental capabilities?”

She and her peers certainly do have some serious issues with memory...every time they have to testify on an issue, there are a lot of “I don’t remembers” in the transcripts. Maybe we need some younger people in office.

Unfortunately, the public will have long forgotten this photo & the Republican stooge won’t have the gonads to use it.

Either the pressure broke her physical health, mental health or she just crawled up in a corner and sucked her thumb. She’s less formidable than they pretend.

Do you recall that, during the Clinton Presidency, the White House staffers were told never to look Hillary in the eye? Maybe that was so no one would realize that there was abject terror there! Or with the eyes being mirrors of the soul, the evil lurking therein.

There are people in the Democrat party who clearly dislike Hillary Clinton—maybe the Clintons in general.

There are a reason for that. Key people in the Democrat party are loyal to the ideology of Marxism.

The Clintons, OTOH, are mostly loyal to the Clintons.

I want to vote for Ron Paul and Chuck Norris. Anything else is just more of the same “bankers, new world order, powers that be, cloward-piven, agenda 21, establishment” bull crap.

Look for Bob Casey from PA to be a VP pick.

The only guy in the U.S. Senate (save, possibly, Al Franken) who makes Joe Biden appear reasonably intelligent . . .

If Hillary doesn’t run then the Democratic primary season will resemble the Republican primary season. A cast of thousands trying to be the last one standing.

Hillary not run? Her pride won’t let her sit it out. Indeed, even if some miracle of backbone were to happen, and she were charged with a crime and convicted - she would try to run...

If by some chance Hillary announces she won’t run, it will either be from a hospital bed, or a spokesman announcing her passing. She believes she has earned this. She put up with Bill’s philandering, stained dresses, and all the other crap. She was his co-pilot for decades, and was beaten in 2008 by an upstart nobody.

In her mind, the White House is hers. She will stoop as low as she has to in order to make it happen. Nothing will stop her except being physically unable to do so.

What if Hillary doesn't have an ego as big as Obama?

As you say.

Moth.

When she runs again she gets beat by Sarah.

Flame.

Joe Biden said ‘he could run’ lol, the only problem there is Nancy Pelosi may want to be VP...could you imagine?

Yes I can.

Can't quite figure out if this would be better than a Hillary/Pelosi ticket, though...

President Obama is making the same mistake as President Bush. He hasn’t groomed a successor.

He's not planning on there even being a successor.

Why would she want that? VP spot has no real power she can wield.

Two years and one day as veep, Arkancide, two years less one day as Prez, two full elected terms as the incumbent (with total control of the voting machines)...

The Glorious Hillary!TM Decade.

That's why.
