some are engineers and cancer researchers. Others are peasants. They all work hard, but one thing Chinese know is how to game the system. Its part of growing up in a collectivist, communist state. Our local Chinese grocery store owner lives in the back of his store works 14 hour days, while having his wife and kids collect welfare.

In my experience, they are 95% Democrat. The Democrats operate exactly like the corrupt authoritarian regimes many Asian immigrants come from - offering a spoils system and promotions in return for loyalty to the Boss. They naturally take to affirmative action and government education. They are told whites outside the major cities are racists and nativists, and they believe without the protection of urban Democrats they would become victims.

They are mostly social conservatives, but they cannot conceive of an existence without a strong central government, and thus do not become Republican in any great numbers.

Sorry - that is completely wrong.

As more and more Asians register and vote, their votes move further and further to the Left.

In 1996:

Hispanics - 73% Clinton

Asians - 44% Clinton

In 2012:

Hispanics - 71% Obama

Asians (highest turn out ever) - 73% Obama

Simple fact - new immigrant citizens vote 80% for the Democrat Party.

Culture matters. Asian culture is organized around Buddhism and Confucianism. Those belief systems don’t lead toward individual liberty, but a structured society, rife with enforced class levels, and centralized government control.

That’s the history of Asia. I’m not celebrating this unless we are getting their individual liberty loving, US Constitution honoring, upwardly mobile immigrants.

The Korean community is pretty conservative, pro-gun, but they vote Democrat locally. GOP outreach stinks.
