You should never teach the students to hate the gay student, but condemn their lifestyle choice.
Moreover, I would not expect a teacher to advocate for gay marriage like is done in the Coca-Cola ad.
Lifestyle choices are between parent and child.
We got into this trouble, because we did allow teachers to talk about life-style choices, and they came down on the wrong side.
You are exactly right when it comes to the commercial, and the advocacy it displays.
And when folks stop by to blur these distinctions, it causes some of us to address them for exactly what they are.

I haven’t forgotten, and will never forget, the images of some Muslims dancing and celebrating on 9/11, that infamous day on which almost 3000 people died, not all of them American. There is nothing about their “culture” which I want to celebrate, or that America needs to emulate. In fact, if the cultures they fled were so worthy of celebration, why did they come here? America has always absorbed the best of new cultures, but only to make it part of our own unique culture, not to have a balkanised culture which includes the bad from which they supposedly fled.
I’d almost think they only see America as a cow to be milked dry. But as a politically correct person (lest I be convicted of a thoughtcrime), I just can’t believe it /s

Your post is a perfect example of how the left has been able to advance their agenda. They are chipping away at the very foundation of America so its not just a commercial.
Not only that, Pepsi uses cells from aborted babies to conduct taste testing of their product.
So we should buy their product to prove we weren’t played? Huh?
