My hope is that the RINOs will cooperate with us if we put more conservatives in Congress, but I have to admit their track record isn’t very good. I blame that on us, because we haven’t done a very good job of demanding party loyalty. McCain is an excellent example. He’s constantly working against us, but he keeps getting reelected. It’s utter futility to demand loyalty if we can’t back that up with making them pay when they sell us out. We have to vote more of them out of office in order to teach the rest to behave.

I also hope the RINOs eventually learn their political philosophy simply doesn’t work. A party cannot win by directing most of its efforts at the mushy middle. You have to get every last one of your loyal supporters to the polls. That’s paramount. You cannot win with an apathetic base, even if you manage to pull in a few more moderates. Unfortunately, the RINOs haven’t given us any indication that they’ve learned from their previous failed attempts.

It’s up to us conservatives to save the moderates from themselves, because we aren’t going to have any moderation whatsoever when Democrats win.

” - - - - It’s up to us conservatives to save the moderates from themselves, - - - “

Any ideas on how we do that?

Moderates always seem to avoid any clear cut stand on anything of importance to our Republic.

Hence, whatever we do, they will crawfish to the middle of the road.
