Conservatives instantly lit up social media with objections, with many vowing to boycott the soda company's products.
If we cannot be proud enough as a country to sing 'American the Beautiful' in English in a commercial during the Super Bowl, by a company as American as they come doggone we are on the road to perdition," said former GOP Rep. Allen West.
The lyrics of the song, written in 1893 by Wellesley College Professor Katherine Lee Bates, ask God to grant America brotherhood / From sea to shining sea.
As far as the executives at Coca Cola are concerned, however, the United States of America is no longer a nation ruled by the Constitution and American traditions in which English is the language of government. It is not a nation governed in the Anglo-American tradition of liberty. It is instead a nation governed by some all inclusive multi-cultural synthesis of the various forms of government in the world, as expressed by the multiple languages used in the Super Bowl ad to sing a uniquely American hymn that celebrates our heritage.
We don't get to pick and chose whether America should be diverse or not, says one of the women featured in the ad on a behind-the-scenes video posted by Coca Cola, It is diverse.....We need to celebrate all the different diversities.

I’m just sick of it used to attack me
The white Christian majority
To tear us down
And replace us with a mongrelized Brazil type culture
That will be so lovely
Meanwhile elites....Weinstein and Alinsky types
Will sit back intact and enjoy...
Mission accomplished
Jack and Ginger make a lovely couple
Speaking of Pepsi/logo...here’s Pepsi’s half-time intro commercial...

I gave up Coke products many years ago, they are crap.
There is a bit of irony here as the food police like Bloomy and Michelle who see soda as bad support this multi-crap
Says who?
Whoa. I had forgotten all about that. Used to do it when I was growing up.
The problem with diversity is that it is used politically to denigrate American values and traditions, thus weakening it’s culture.
It is so much easier to take over a country when its citizens are not united in a like minded cultural alliance.
The commercial was a total fail. All it accomplished was pissing off a lot of people who were previously not pissed off. There’s no way they gained any new customers. At best, they lost some market share. Darren Stevens and Larry Tate could have done better.
And I don’t blame them either.
They are economic refugees who left their families, neighbors and country.
They are people coming to the land of opportunity to better their lives and that of their children.
For most illegal immigrants they consider themselves Mexican, Guatemalans, etc.
They didn’t come here to become an American.
That is why I am against reform.
Get in line like the guys and gals of India who spend years and thousands of dollars to become an American.
Or like mu friends from Argentina who came here and spent more than 10 years in the hope they would become a citizen.
What does their sacrifice mean if illegals can simply be pardoned and made an American rather than earn it like so many before them?
At least they left “GOD shed his grace on thee” in the lyrics. THAT surprised me.
I was so pissed I almost throw my jalapeno popper at the TV...
So did POTUS.
I can already hear the black helicopters.
Oh my, I thought the ad was about people in foreign lands singing “God Bless America” for bring Coke to the world.
That is the REAL coke, made the way it used to be.
Multiculturalism = AntiAmericanism
Agreed
.....We need to celebrate all the different diversities.
I wonder when we as a nation are going to realize that this is not broad mindedness or generosity but rather an ATTACK on our nation from the inside?
