Long article but well worth the read.

She expresses the rage and frustration a lot of us are feeling.

This needs to be heard by the 'Geniuses' at the GOP

in most abusive relationships, each has their personal breaking point

When the GOP started marginalizing the Tea Party that was the last straw for me.

The GOP platform is nothing but a thin coat of paint smeared on an increasingly left wing party.

The reply:

“I feel your pain, sweetie, I do. However, big business is who pays us the bucks that matter (have you noticed how many congress people come in relatively poor and leave very rich?).

Also, there’s this database, you see, and . . . “

Why is this categorized a “Front Page News”? Looks like an opinion to me.

As I see it, conservatives, libertarians, and conservative-leaning independents have three choices:

1. Continue to hope the GOP will come to adopt and fight for traditional, conservative values and candidates.

2. Work together to take control of the GOP and it’s resources and change the direction of the Party.

3. Leave and form a third party which will take years to develop sufficient size, scope, and resources to be able to have significant impact.

"Mark my words, you can either drop the insane idea of amnesty for the illegal invaders or you can destroy the party - It’s your choice."

The GOP leadership has been bought off or are already working for the Left. They do not care if the GOP is made a permanent minority party. Their nests have already been feathered and they like playing the Potemkin Village opposition. They are they enemy and they need to be kicked to the curb.

We don’t need a third party.

We need a second party.

Yeah, I think that we are nearing the time for a schism. We need opposition. We need backbone. Liberals and their fellow traveler RINO’s are destroying the country. I am a registered Republican, but I am less and less calling myself that. What is it about trillion dollar deficits that they do not understand?

That's the conventional wisdom. Got any proof that it's true? Any examples from history?

There is more money and power (even if second-tier) in traitorism for them than there is in working hard, fighting for our ideals and serving the people. They are a lost cause.

Saw this somewhere else, and it the best analogy I’ve seen so far – it’s like they are the ‘Washington Generals’.

They are turning into an ‘opposition’ party in name only.

I think Rush finally nailed it yesterday: the GOPe would rather lose huge, even risk destroying any hopes they have of getting power for the next 10 years, if they can in the process eliminate the Tea Party/conservative wing once and for all.

Exactly the opposite will happen, as it did to the Whigs: the more moderate of the two will die, and the side that is closer to the principles that the people want will survive.

“$$s don’t get you elected. Votes do.”

Here in the People’s Soviet of Washington, all ballots are mail-in. You think that was done to save money, or improve the transparency of the vote security process?

If you don’t think that a Republican has to win by at least 4% in order to lose by a few votes (happened here in WA twice), then you’ve lead a relatively sheltered political existence.
