Thank you, that explains a lot. It also explains how some people can be soooooooo stupid as to deny that Jews lived in Israel in ancient times.
Oy, the lies the left tells themselves never cease to amaze. I guess the Roman records document Jews in Israel pretty well, I don’t think you’d even need to believe one word of the Bible to verify that.
Although it kind of is amazing that any of this stuff survives. I looked up Lon Chaney last night (because I was confused about Sr. & Jr.) and according to Wikipedia there are pretty large gaps in what is known in the life of Lon Chaney, Sr. and he was a fairly well known actor who lived from 1883-1930, that surprised me a bit.
Indeed, virtually all the Bible's basic historical background, and many of its narrative details, are supported by independent historical sources and/or archaeology.
In this context, it's interesting to note that Bill O'Reilly has claimed of his book "Killing Jesus" that it is written only from independently verified sources.
Well, that's an exaggeration, but it truly is astonishing how much independent material O'Reilly does bring into his interesting rehearsal of the Greatest Story Ever Told.
