YOu guys and gals have a great thread today! I’M going fishing! Can’t wait!!
The Sunday before the “Obama” SOTU speech on Tuesday evening.. Truth be known, not many Americans care and....not many Americans will be tuning in today, and, for sure, very few Americans will be tuning in on Tuesday evening just to hear Obama tell lie after lie!!! Me, included!!!
Side bar....normally I never advocate boycotts, but “Subway” gets my loss of business. Their corporate tie-in with Amerca hater, Michelle Obama fills me with forever bye-bye talk, and no more Subway goodies, ever!!! Just one man’s opinion!!!
Morning Folks,
The other “Mac” if up.
Discussing not raising the minimum wage (accepting the premise that it’s a function of the government)
Regarding raising the debt ceiling: “We already have a debt the size of our economy.”
“The president taking an unreasonable position” “He’s the one that’s irresponsible”
Wallace asks if Mac has any suggestions: “Keystone Pipeline for one thing.”

G Will discusses that it is too early to consider whether recent events have hurt Christie. Will continues that there are 30 Republican governors and ‘state level’ Republicans seem to know how to reach the public. Those governors represent some 315 Electoral Votes.
Then Will gives in a short list of potential probables: Pence, Scott, and one other name I don’t remember.

If the Republicans intend to win, they definitely need to get away from the Beltway Mindset. They also need to get away from the retreads — a list which is already growing.
The shortened GOP primary season is going to make it nearly impossible for any late comers to raise money. It is going to be difficult enough for many wannabes to raise money, anyway. As Brit Hume commented, we won’t see a stage of a new frontrunner every few weeks from a half-a-dozen contenders. That would mean the GOP needs some solid contenders from the beginning. Is that even possible? I posted several times during the early 2012 primary debates: Is this the best the GOP can find to represent them?
If the GOP goes with Christie, he will get thuggishly trampled by the MSM and Dems. If the GOP goes with Jeb Bush as the go-to guy, they will face another round of Bush blaming, because the Bush name is still toxic. If it were not, the Dems would have have used it to win the last two presidential elections. If the GOP stays with the beltway mindset, they will probably face another major loss in 2016, regardless of whether the Dems go with Clinton or some youthful, more appealing lesser known — a repeat of 2012.
Good morning everyone. For the first time in 4 years I’m posting from the U.S.!

How many times can Shieffer mention ‘shutdown’ during the Cruz interview?
Cruz doesn’t take the bait, but responds with the Prez’s lies about keeping your doctor and keeping your health plan.
Cruz does tell Shieffer that it was Obama and Reid who threatened the shutdown, when Shieffer continues to confront Cruz as being the one who shut down the government.
Shieffer asks whether Christie is still a viable presidenial candidate, and whether Cruz will run.
Cruz says he is representing the people of Texas.
Shieffer cuts him off with a thank you.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y
Someone want to tell Schumer his “Main Stream Republicans” are the RINO’s the Primaries are going to weed out so they can go over to the Democrat side where they belong.
Ahhh...the melodramatic Peggy Noonan, with her smart girl glasses, agrees with old Bob’s continuous insistence that Cruz shut down the government, tosses her hair back and declares Cruz is just trying to get his popularity back. GRRRRR...it is Republicans like this woman that makes me want to leave the decaying GOP.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Panel
“Cruz is trying to come back”...[ah, common sense and the truth never left with those of us with good judgement, but that would exclude Democrats, their supporters and the media...]
Billie Jean King and Brian Boitano?! Aargh!
I cannot stomach Dan Pfeiffer. he is literally a punk.
Watching the evening rerun of FNS: the Obama spokesman is as good a liar as the O himself. They are evil, and so hateful of the lives of ‘ordinary’ Americans. - That’s us, folks!
I saw a bit of the Pfieffer interview which was laughable. I especially liked when Pfieffer was saying that the great news was that the people who lost their insurance would now be taken care of by Obamacare. Nevermind that they were losing their insurance because of Obamacare. Other than that I did not see much of the sunday shows.
