On the airwaves and behind-the-scenes, two major conservative radio hosts are waging a war for the afternoon drive — and the moral high-ground. A simmering feud between radio stars Michael Savage and Sean Hannity has burst to the surface now that the two men are going head to head in prime drivetime — battling for listeners and advertisers in an already competitive market.

Hannity is a nice guy, but shallow and boring.

Savage is not a nice guy, anything but shallow and boring, but has his own issues.

I used to be a Savage devotee, but no longer.

These guys, and Levin need to bury the hatchet. Our nation is circling the drain and all they care about is listeners. If the Rats get control of all of Congress, they’ll be hit with some new Fairness Doctrine and they won’t have jobs.

Well, one thing I can say about Savage is he doesn’t have Tamara Holder on his show ever.

So I’d say he’s quite a bit smarter than Sean and his endless parade of idiot guests.

But beyond that I cannot listen to and do not listen to Savage.

Dude has problems.

How anyone can listen to either one for more than 10 minutes must have a dysfunctional brain....

3:00 p.m. means that the choices aren’t much better than they are at 11:00 a.m. FM usually wins on both, but Hannity over Savage.

At least Hannity’s consistent.... You just never know when Savage is gonna’ be off his meds.

Having said that, I used to love to listen to Savage and I still probably would if he came on in my area.

Not a huge fan of either but Hannity is better than Savage, IMO, at least he hasn’t donated thousands to Moonbeam

Hannity is dry as toast and boring. Savage on the other hand, is stark raving mad and full of du-du.

I am a fan of both of them. Gentlemen, just do your shows and may the best man win. There is no need to undercut each other.

Every personality type seems to go in and out of fashion, talking heads are no exception to that rule. I get the distinct impression that Sean is (seriously this time) considering running for elective office. I say yes, he should go for it. Sean may have taken his format as far as it can go. Or maybe both he and his public could use a good twelve year separation, then start another talk show. I think Sean is ready for a challenge. I don’t listen to Savage anymore, too down all of the time. Sean is sunny, but he needs to recharge in the right environment.

I'm sorry, but Michael Savage is a pompous, smarmy, arrogant jerk. His very first night on the air here in the Chicago Market he went right after Hannity and Limbaugh calling them "fakes" and "frauds."

He went onto claim that Limbaugh "didn't really" move out of New York and had some rather disparaging things to say about Hannity.

I'm not a fan of Hannity, listen to Limbaugh for maybe 2-3 hours a week during my lunch break. I have my own issues with Limbaugh at times however he is probably one of the best Conservative minds out there on the radio.

Savage seems to have forgotten who the real enemy is (liberals) and seems hell bent on taking down his fellow Conservatives. Not someone I can support because of that.

I’d have a beer with Sean. If I had a beer with Savage it would probably end up with me knocking Savage out and going to jail for fighting again. Guy just rubs me the wrong way and while Sean is redundant his redundancy is for the most part conservative.

I will take Sean Hannity over Michael Savage anyday. Savage is just to unstable.

I thought Savage had moved to nights. Is he back on in the afternoons again?

Since his time change, I haven’t like his show that much. He seems to have lost that spark that made him interesting. Most of the time he seems morose and self-obsessed.
