I tried to watch Low Winter Sun a few times. I love AMC fare like Breaking Bad and Walking Dead and really wanted to like LWS, but it was basically unwatchable. Slow, dreary, with lame characters and weak plot points. Gave up after three and a half episodes.
Yeah the show had some top notch actors (Lennie James came from Walking Dead) but the producers leaned too heavily on the reputation of Detroit and not enough on writing a decent plot or scripts.
