It didn’t always suck. When the libs got them to ban lard on their wonderful fries, everything went down hill. Sad. I trace it to when they stopped frying burgers on a grill. Now the burgers are barely meat, they're kept in plastic drawers, and apparently "cooked" via steam.

I trace it to when they stopped frying burgers on a grill. Steak 'N Shake still makes their burgers ('Steakburgers') from fresh, unfrozen, ground beef fried on a grill right in plain view.
They're pretty good too.
