Amen to that. The Bible teaches that God does send angels to protect and help us, but when and if He chooses to do that is up to Him. He can do so without the use of angels.

There used to be a sort of angel "movement", in which people prayed to angels and came pretty close to worshiping them. We shouldn't do any of that. Angels are simply God's messengers, completely under His control.
