I quit going to movies simply because there are so many jerks in the audience.
Talkers, texters, gigglers, spoilers. I’m talking about ADULTS! Not kids.
I’ve seen others loose it at drive in movies because some jerk insisted in pumping his brake pedal in the dark.
Now I wait for the DVD.
BTTT, not to mention the price
Talkers, texters, gigglers, spoilers. Im talking about ADULTS! Not and the kids.
We only go to the first show on Sunday. I wouldn’t go to an evening show especially on Fri. And Sat.
Same here. Sticky floors, loudmouths, Abe Lincoln in front of me with his stovepipe hat and people who can't stop playing with their cell phones for five minutes. Screw that. I bought a big TV and have unlimited options for getting movies for it. I can pause them when I need a break and can tell my fellow moviegoers to pipe down if it's warranted, and make it stick. :-)
Last movie I saw in a theater, I lucked out. I unexpectedly showed up at a friend's house in SoCal. 'Enemy at the Gates' was showing, at the brand-new, state-of-the-art theater in the next town. He's a huge WW2 buff and never has any money, so I sprung for it. Turns out that the last movie in a theater that he went to was 'Das Boot', when it was in theater circulation in...late Seventies? Early Eighties?
Knocked him out. We almost had the place to ourselves, so no jerks.
I see only 1 or 2 movies a year. I can’t stand the teenagers and twenty-somethings with their damn cell phones. The only films I feel like I NEED to see IN the theater are the next Hobbit film (#3) and the next Star Wars when that comes out in 2015. Other than that? I can wait until it comes out on DVD or is available through an online server like Netflix.
