Maine’s Somali Muslim settler problem is growing worse with gang violence and welfare abuse threatening the state. Governor LePage’s efforts to make Maine’s generous benefits system less attractive to Somali Muslim migrants who have swarmed the state seeking taxpayer handouts has led to protests from those same Somali Muslims.

There must be a reason why Maine is getting hit so hard by these Somali welfare bums.

I remember a couple years ago an article linked from here about the Atlanta Somalis didn't like the American blacks (different cultural behavior). The word got out that welfare was good in Maine. So they pulled up stakes and headed en masse to Maine and may have joined some others already there.

The people in Lewistown (I think it was) were most unhappy about it but what could they do?

So still nothing has been done and they have turned into gangs and thugs.

This won't go down well but they should be informed that they have worn out their welcome and deported. Now who would have the guts and authority to do that?

Lewiston Maine could do even less than nothing-when their fund of welfare benefits was overwhelmed by the Somalis and the mayor politely asked rhe Somalis to back off and let them regroup, the Somalis successfully sued Lewiston for “racism” and to force them accept more federal funding to funnel to the Somalis, and to build more “low income” housing which the Somalis promptly trashed, having no concern for the proper use of modern plumbing, nor for building fires on the floor of their homes, nor for butchering goats on the grounds of the taxpayer-funded housing.

There are arsonist kids setting fires, burning some beautiful old Victorian and multi-family housing, displacing 100's of people, not all Somalis. The indigenous I mean traditional residents of Lewiston are to say upset is a major understatement.

Somali “refugees” are brought to the United States by airplane, a journey of many thousands of miles, costing thousands of dollars for each passenger when that money could have been used to help the “refugees” within their own country. This is a waste of money and shows that the refugee industry has an agenda other than helping people in war torn areas. The thousands of dollars wasted on plane travel could be used for food and other necessities for thousands of Somalis in their own country.

I too would like to know the answer. And it is not only Maine where they cause chaos. Maybe that is the reasons they are admitted to this country - just to damage this country. I can not see anything positive from their presence.
