in the primaries I am with you but for those who sat on their hands when it was Romney or O I say a pox on them all.
I really want to understand. Why exactly do you feel that electing a RINO that is guaranteed to stab you in the back and run left is better than a Dem that will stab you in the back and is already there?
I’m not being a smart ass. We have 30 years of history proving that electing lesser evils led to the Bhoner/Rubio/Ryan GOP. Why do want to continue on that path?
I didn't sit on my hands, I voted for Gary Johnson because that was the best candidate I knew of. If he hadn't run, I would have gone with FR's EternalVigilance.
You see, the GOP isn't entitled to my vote, it has to earn it. I am through giving the party "the benefit of the doubt", let their actions show what their goals are. I'm through "holding my nose" and voting for a candidate, so I'm going to vote for people I think can and will do a good job.
The attitude you embrace is dangerously close to if you don't agree with me, you're wrong
— because there's nothing in there to allow for another human to be their own moral agent and judge for themselves whether or not the candidate is unacceptable.
What I ask of the GOP candidate in 2016 are these few things:
* That he/she not be a progressive
* That he/she fight in the general election with at least TWICE the fervor as the primary fight
* That he/she truly believe in a constitutionally limited federal government
* That he/she selects a running mate that shares the same beliefs
* That he/she aggressively prosecute the crimes perpetrated by the current administration
There are plenty more wish list items but these will be sufficient to earn my vote. If we get another milquetoast pantywaist progressive moderate I’ll write in “Sarah Palin”.
