It used to be called a “cold snap.” Now it’s a “polar vortex.”

The Extending unemployment BS is a perfect example of how we have no political strategy and they have it all.
Until our strategy is better than theirs we will keep losing.
Why we can’t show that simply writing a check to some asshole who doesn’t want to work is bad is beyond me.

Or at least counter with the argument that if this was any kind of decent economic recovery, we wouldn’t have so many long-term unemployed in the first place.

What happened to Obama’s “laser-like focus” on jobs?

Private schools are also turning to the Obamacore Curriculum. They would be out of luck.

A good number of the parents in the area around me already home school. This will reconfirm their commitment. The problem is going to be that the students will have to be familiar with all the social justice and Islamic proselytizing that is embedded in the Obamacore because college entrance exams are going to be changed to reflect the Obamacore.

I think of that all the time.

And where’s the media asking where did his laser go?

"The Extending unemployment BS is a perfect example of how we have no political strategy and they have it all."

Sad but true. It appears that the Republicans will go along with this so that they can't be targeted again as being "against the poor." Then by going along with it, they, in their minds, can keep Obamacare in the spotlight.

What I would like to see is for the Republicans to call a press conference and "agree" with Obama about the need for jobs. A good place to start would be in the oil, minerals, and forest industries. If the government would get out of the way, thousands of good paying jobs would be created and the spillover effect would create more thousands of jobs. But to hold a press conference like that would require courage and intelligence.

Eco-NUTZ: when losing the argument, change the "terms" of the argument:

"Cold Snap".

"Polar Vortex".

Yeah, it is. But we’ve had very mild and warm winters, too, so it evens out over time, when averaged.

Hey all. I am convinced Kraut is a head conservative but not a heart conservative. He intellectually wants to believe in conservatism, but his heart is afraid of the results if it fails.

We do not need to listen to head conservatives. They will go wobbly when challenged.

RE: Dick Durtbin’s earlier rant.

How would failing to extend unemployment benefits keep food out of children’s bellies? (It’s always for the children . . . ) Wouldn’t the families be eligible for food stamps, still plentiful, under the Obama economy?

Just once, I want to hear a conservative congressman say, “The distinguished gentleman across the aisle is full of shot.”

Their arguments are all made to simpletons in simple language. Basically it amounts to vote for us and we will buy your vote is what their argumentis.

We are too dumb to overcome that argument. So, they continue using our money to buy votes for their side almost endlessly.

The only hope is that every time you buy a vote it cost more to buy it the next time. Either that or we get a Republican operative who actually can spell and knows what long term political strategy is. We can "hope" for "change"!

Exactly, its always "we" responding to "them" since we have no strategy that "they" must respond to.

We need to set things up with people that know WTH they are doing. We don't have them now.

Good idea, but it has to be part of a bigger overall plan. You can't just do single issue stuff. You have to have an overall plan of opposing communism and making sure that capitaliism flourishes.

I haven’t listened to Kraut - among others - for some time now. He’s too wobbly on many core issues.
