The Rev. Al Sharpton got all gussied up, donned a lab coat, and stood behind a nifty chemistry set to lecture the likes of Fox News, climate-change deniers, and the right wing in general on why global warming is a fact.
It happened as part of Sharptons Politics Nation: Science Lab segment on MSNBC Friday, using the arctic winter freeze besetting much of America this weekend as a springboard.
These right wingers are boiling over with denial, he said. Just because it snows in winter doesnt mean the planet isnt getting warmer. Remember a UN panel said theres a 90 percent probability that humans are the primary cause of global warming.
It sure doesnt take much for the folks at Fox to hit their melting point. The results of tonights experiments are in. And weve deduced the right wing could use a new talking point.
Believe in global warming we much
And we will much about that will be committed.
Yes, and we all know that the U.N. is never, ever wrong about anything.
Their god has spoken, so listen up, you deniers!
When did they take the lab rats out of the cages and make them look like scientists?
How about this Al.
The Navier Stokes differential equations describe fluid flow with changes in temperature and density. They are non-linear, chaotic, and show sensitive dependence on initial conditions. That means that no finite set of past states is sufficient to predict a non-trivial future state. Non-trivial means ‘different from close to right now’.
This has been known since 1963 and Edward Lorenz’s paper ‘Deterministic Nonperiodic flow’.
The lab coat is a classic way to have a non-scientist to don the trappings of real scientists as he tries to steal the authority of real science as he lies. When you see a non-scientist don a lab coat you should know- He is about to lie to you.
I seriously doubt that Sharpton has a fifth-grader’s (1970’s era) knowledge of science. Or, virtually anything, for that matter.

Recall the white coats passed out at WH press conferences on Obamacare.
I always knew Al wanted to run around wearing a white sheet
Minnesotans For Global Warming Global Warming Experiment
This is an SNL skit. Seriously. That is what this “news organization” has become.
Isn’t Al a race pimp? Perhaps global warming is where the money is these days...
I recall the silliness of white coats at such press conferences. I wondered if they were afraid of getting policy spilt upon them.
At every turn, Democrats are doing everything they can do to make it more expensive to heat our homes.
This should be the mantra of the GOP next year.
The Democrats can’t dispute this fact.
Is Green Socialism EPA's Real Goal? - October 29, 2010 - In January 2008, Jones spoke of an "environmental justice community that said, 'Hey, wait a minute, you know, you're regulating, but you're not regulating equally.' And the white polluters and the white environmentalists are essentially steering poison into the people-of-color communities, because they don't have a racial justice frame."EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson has made environmental justice an EPA priority, and in July the agency released a 56-page "guidance" to help its employees "advance environmental justice" to low-income and minority communities.
"Achieving environmental justice is an agency priority and should be factored into every decision," the document noted. This document is a fulfillment of an executive order issued 16 years ago by President Bill Clinton directing every federal agency "to make achieving environmental justice part of its mission."
President Obama campaigned on a promise to make "environmental justice policies a priority within the EPA." That's why he picked Jones, a self-proclaimed Marxist, to be his "green jobs" czar.
He’s trying to copy Beck’s old FOX style show. Fail.
