DUer's already blaming man-made global warming for it. Expect media to do the same.

I’m going to hop on my Harley and cruise out to El Cajon. The 60 degree weather in Clairemont is a bit chilly. Should be over 70 in El Cajon.

When I read about snowy winters, I think of The Long Winter by Laura Ingalls Wilder. It started snowing in late fall and continued until spring. They had to twist wheat, etc to have a little heat. I do not see how any survived. I looked that winter up and think it was about 1870 or that period. So, we will always have extremely cold winters. But, we will also have winters which are a whole lot nicer. Weather repeats.

Temp. at Pullman WA dropped to minus 32F on 31 Dec 1959, and didn’t rise above freezing (32+) until about two weeks later. About a foot of snow fell during a couple of hours just prior to the sudden drop. This protective blanket saved the winter wheat crop, the mainstay of agriculture in the Palouse region, from destruction.
